    Small Plane Makes Emergency Landing On Georgia Interstate

    A Beech C23 aircraft had to make an emergency landing at interstate-575 near airport road in Canton, Georgia, on December 2.

    FAA spokesperson Kathleen Bergen confirmed the incident saying that the pilot was able to taxi the aircraft to a grassy area. She confirmed that none of the 2 people aboard was injured.

    The aircraft is registered to an Atlanta-based flight training school Quality Aviation Inc.

    The cause of emergency landing is being investigated by the FAA.

    Swift Air Flight Makes Emergency Landing at St. Louis Downtown Airport

    Swift Air flight Q7-5017 had to return and make an emergency landing at St. Louis Downtown Airport, Illinois, on January 8th.

    The plane took off for Los Angeles, California, but had to return shortly afterwards after the crew noticed smoke in the cockpit.

    The plane landed safely. Everyone aboard remained unharmed.

    The plane was carrying ice hockey team of the Dallas Stars at the time.

    Denver Birdstrike under Investigation


    What: United Boeing 737-900 en route from Dallas to Denver
    Where: Denver
    When: Jul 31, 2012, 9:00 a.m.
    Who: 151 aboard
    Why: The Boeing was on approach when it suffered a bird strike in the nose cone. The bird strike did not affect the engine or landing gear.

    No one was injured. The birds remains are being identified by an ornithologist.

    The NTSB is investigating.

    Flydubai Plane makes Safe Landing in Saudi Arabia after Flaps Problem

    flydubaiFlydubai flight FZ-867 made a safe landing at King Fahd International Airport, Dammam, Saudi Arabia, on July 20th.

    The Boeing 737-800, en-route from Dubai, UAE, was on approach to Dammam when the crew reported issues with its flaps.

    The plane landed at a higher than normal speed.

    All people onboard remained unharmed.

    Skywest Airlines Jet Returns to Charlotte Due to Flaps Problem

    new-united-logoUnited Airlines flight UA-5711 had to make an emergency landing in Charlotte, North Carolina, on March 10th.

    The Embraer ERJ-175, operated by Skywest Airlines, took off for O’Hare International Airport in Chicago, Illinois, but had to return shortly afterwards due to problem with flaps.

    The plane landed safely. There were 76 people aboard at the time; all of them remained safe.

    The airline arranged a replacement plane for the passengers.

    Mistral Air Plane Returns to Italy due to Engine Shut Down

    Mistral AirMistral Air flight AZ-1822 had to return and make an emergency landing at Trapani, Italy, on April 9.

    The Avions de Transport Regional ATR-72-212A, en-route to Pantelleria, Italy, had to return due to an engine problem. The crew had to shut-down the engine mid-air.

    The plane landed safely.

    All 33 people aboard remained safe.
