London Bound AAS Flight Aborts Take-off after Bird Strike
Aurigny Air Services flight GR-604 had to abort take-off at Guernsey Airport, Guernsey/ Channel Islands, UK, on September 26.
Crew of the Embraer ERJ-195, en-route to Gatwick Airport, Crawley, London, had to reject take-off after a “bird strike” on its left engine.
The aircraft returned to the apron safely.
The bird strike on the engine caused damage to the plane’s fan blades.

Why: After takeoff, a fuel leak was observed and the flight crew reported rapidly losing fuel. They returned to Las Vegas where they (quickly) made a safe landing.
Jetstar Plane Makes Emergency Landing in Guam
Jetstar flight JQ-12 made an emergency landing in Guam, on August 6th.
The plane flying from Tokyo Narita Airport, Japan, to Coolangatta in Queensland, Australia, was diverted after the crew had to shut down one of the engines due to a low oil pressure indication.
The plane landed safely. All 320 people aboard remained unharmed.
The airline arranged a replacement plane for the passengers.

What: Cathay Pacific Airbus A330-300 en route from from Surabaya Indonesia to Hong Kong

Why: On approach to Hong Kong, the flight developed engine failure in one engine which was shut down, and the other engine failed on landing. On the runway, brakes overheated, caught fire, and the tires went flat.
Passengers evacuated the plane via emergency chutes; seven were injured though only five hospitalized. (Other reports indicate 8 admitted to hospital.)
Southwest NoseGear Collapse July 22 Update
