Small Plane Crashes in Florida due to Mechanical Issue

A small plane crashed into a marshy area near Orlando Apopka Airport, Orange County, Florida, on the night of December 30th.

The Cessna 400 had to abort its landing after spotting a deer on the runway. The plane faced mechanical issue after turning around.

The plane sustained significant damage.

The 61-year old pilot was taken to a nearby hospital for first aid.

Air Transat Plane Rejects Take-off in England after Engine Problems

Air Transat flight TS-232 had to abort taking-off at Gatwick Airport, London, England, on May 3rd.

The Airbus A330-300 en-route to Toronto, Canada, was about to take-off when two loud bangs were heard due to engine failure and stall.

The plane returned to the apron safely.

All 326 passengers and 11 crew members remained unhurt.

Qantas Airlines Plane Rejects Take-off in Australia due to Technical Problem

Qantas Airlines flight QF-582 had to reject taking-off at Perth Airport, Perth, Australia, on April 28th.

The Boeing 737-800 en-route to Sydney, Australia, had to abort the take-off due to some technical problem.

The plane returned to the apron safely.

Etihad Airways Flight Makes Emergency Landing in Zurich

Etihad Airways flight EY-73 made an emergency landing in Zurich, Switzerland, on June 18th.

The Boeing 787-900 plane flying from Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, was on approach to Zurich when the crew reported an issue with the flaps and aborted the approach.

The plane subsequently landed at higher than normal speed. All passengers and crew members remained unharmed.

Vueling Airlines Plane Rejects Taking-off in Germany due to Hot Brakes

VuelingVueling Airlines flight VY-1867 had to reject taking-off at Stuttgart Airport, Filderstadt, Germany, on August 13.

The Airbus A321-200 en-route to Barcelona, Spain, had to abort the take-off due to hot brakes.

The plane vacated the runway safely.

No one was injured.

KrasAvia Aborts Takeoff in Russia due to Aircraft Steering Problem

KrasAviaKrasAvia flight KI-48 had to abort taking-off at Shushenskoye Airport, Kazantsevo, UNAU, Russia, on July 18th.

The Let L-410 was ready to depart for Krasnojarsk, Russia when the crew aborted the takeoff after the aircraft started steering left instead of straight ahead.

The flight was cancelled.

All 13 passengers were accommodated in a bus to Krasnojarsk.

Mesa Airlines Plane Rejects Takeoff in Texas

The Canadair CRJ-900 was about to takeoff for Columbia, South Carolina, when the crew had to abort taking off due to a flight control issue.

The plane remained on the taxiway, and resumed flight after 40 minutes.

CityJetCityJet flight WX-124 had to abort taking off at Dublin Airport, Dublin, Ireland, on February 25th.

The Avro RJ-85 was ready to take off for London City Airport, England, when a loud bang was heard from the engine, and smoke emerged.

Everyone aboard remained safe.

A replacement plane was arranged by the airline.

Dynamic Airways Plane Catches Fire while Taxiing; 15 Injured

The plane received significant damage.

Among the 79 passengers and 11 crew members aboard, 15 people sustained injuries and were taken to hospital.

China Eastern Airlines Jet Rejects Takeoff due to Engine Failure

The Beijing-bound Airbus A330-300 plane was accelerating for takeoff when its left engine failed following a loud bang.

Cologne Bound TUIfly Flight Rejects Take-off due to Engine Problem

TUIflyTUIfly flight AB-6110, operating on behalf of Air Berlin, rejected takeoff at Munich Airport, Munich, Germany, on October 5.

The Boeing 737-700, en-route to Cologne, Germany, had to abort taking off due to some issue with its right side engine.

No injuries were reported.

The flight was cancelled, however, the passengers were accommodated in other flights.

Luxair Plane Crash-Lands in Germany; No Injuries Reported

LuxairLuxair flight LG 9562 had to return and make a gear-up landing at Saarbrücken airport, Germany, on September 30.

Authorities said the pilots of the Luxembourg-bound Bombardier Q400 aircraft decided to abort take off due to a cabin fire warning. The plane then landed on its underbelly because apparently the landing gear failed to deploy.

There were 16 passengers and 4 crew members aboard at the time; none of them was hurt.

According to an airline spokesperson, the passengers were transported to Luxembourg by road.

The FAA was investigating.

London Bound AAS Flight Aborts Take-off after Bird Strike

AASAurigny Air Services flight GR-604 had to abort take-off at Guernsey Airport, Guernsey/ Channel Islands, UK, on September 26.

Crew of the Embraer ERJ-195, en-route to Gatwick Airport, Crawley, London, had to reject take-off after a “bird strike” on its left engine.

The aircraft returned to the apron safely.

The bird strike on the engine caused damage to the plane’s fan blades.

London-Bound Flybe Flight Aborted due to Bird Strike

FlybeFlybe flight BE-803 had to reject takeoff and return to the apron at Newquay Cornwall Airport, United Kingdom on September 15.

The de Havilland Dash 8-400 plane was accelerating for takeoff when a sea gull struck it, forcing the crew to reject takeoff.

The airline arranged an alternate aircraft that took the passengers to London Gatwick airport with a 2-hour delay.

Plane Carrying Medan Crash Victims’ Dead Bodies Aborts Take-Off Twice

A Hercules A-1321 military plane had to cancel take-off from Soewondo Air Force Base in Medan, Indonesia, twice, on July 3.

The airplane was prepared to transport 14 dead bodies of the victims of June 30 Hercules crash in Medan, along with their families, to Ranai, Natuna, Riau Islands in Indonesia. However, it had to abort its take-off at 6:30 a.m. due to engine malfunction.

Later, the plane was again prepared to depart but the flight was aborted for the second time due to low visibility and bad whether at 6 p.m.

The passengers and dead bodies were transported in a CN-235 airplane later.
