    Southwest Airlines Flight Makes Rough landing in Denver

    southwest_airlines_logoSouthwest Airlines Flight WN-2869 had to return and make an emergency landing at Denver International Airport in Denver, Colorado, at 5:58 p.m. on July 5.

    The Boeing 737-800, en-route to Los Angeles International Airport, had to return due a “performance issue with one of the tires”. It is believed that one of the aircraft’s tires blew during take off.

    The plane made a rough landing at the airport, however, all 183 people aboard remained safe.

    The passengers were later transported in a replacement plane

    Hawaiian Airlines Plane Returns to Kahului Airport

    Hawaiian AirlinesHawaiian Airlines flight 24 had to return and make an emergency landing at Kahului airport, Hawaii, on May 1.

    Authorities said the plane took off for Oakland, California but returned half an hour later due to odor of fumes onboard.

    The plane, carrying 224 passengers, landed uneventfully. The passengers were evacuated via emergency slides.

    The airline confirmed that 2 people were shifted to hospital with minor injuries.

    What: Continental Airlines Boeing 737-700 en route from Guam to Hiroshima
    Where: Guam
    When: Jul 22nd 2010
    Who: 95 passengers and 5 crew
    Why: While en route, the pilot noticed irregularities from the control panel altitude and airspeed indicators. The plane turned back for Guam where the problem was repaired and the flight took off again a couple of hours later.

    Aerolineas Argentinas Flight Returns to Buenos Aires due to Cabin Pressure Problem

    Aerolineas Argentinas flight AR-1300 had to return and make an emergency landing in Buenos Aires, Argentina, on October 26th.

    The Airbus A330-200 plane took off for John F. Kennedy International Airport, New York, but had to turn back due to an issue with the cabin pressure.

    The plane landed back safely. All passengers and crew members remained unharmed.

    United Airlines Flight Makes Emergency Landing in Chicago

    United Airlines flight UA-1549 made an emergency landing at O’Hare International Airport, Chicago, Illinois, on December 4th.

    The Boeing 737-900 plane flying from Boston, Massachusetts, was descending toward Chicago when the crew noticed loss of thrust in both engines and declared an emergency.

    The plane landed safely. All passengers and crew members remained unharmed.

    Trans States Airlines Plane Rejects Take Off From Fargo

    Trans States Airlines flight UA-4629 had to reject take off from Fargo, North Dakota, on January 9th.

    The Embraer ERJ-145 plane was accelerating to take off for Denver, Colorado, when two right hand tires blew, forcing the crew to reject take off.

    The plane safely returned to the apron. Everyone aboard remained safe.
