British Airways flight BA-766 had to return and make an emergency landing at Heathrow Airport, England, on April 16th.
The Airbus A319-100 plane took off for Oslo, Norway, but had to turn back after the crew received indication of a nose gear shock absorber malfunction.
The plane landed safely. All passengers and crew members remained unharmed.
Qantas flight QF-1 had to return and make an emergency landing in Sydney, Australia, on August 3rd.
The Airbus A380-800 plane took off for Dubai, United Arab Emirates, but had to return shortly afterwards after the crew reported a fault in cabin’s temperature control system.
The plane landed safely. Everyone aboard remained unharmed.

Why: Just after takeoff, the flight experienced issues with hydraulics. The landing gear failed to extend. Nearly an hour after leaving, the flight landed safely at the airport of origin, although “alternate gear extension” implementation was required.
American Eagle is affiliated with American Airlines.
The American Airlines flight 2275 had to make an emergency landing in Sacramento, California, after one of its tires blew out during takeoff, on August 6.
The passengers of the MD-82 aircraft said that they smelled a burning smell when the plane took off from Dallas Fort Worth Airport. However, they were only informed about the problem when they were about to land at Sacramento.
The plane landed uneventfully at around 7:42 p.m. and was towed to Terminal B. All passengers and crew members remained unhurt.
Jet2.com flight LS-356 had to divert and make an emergency landing in Amsterdam, Netherlands, on May 2nd.
The Boeing 757-200 plane heading from Kos, Greece, to Leeds, England, was diverted after the crew needed to shut down one of the engines.
The plane landed safely. All passengers and crew members remained unharmed.

The McDonnell Douglas MD-83 flying from Orlando Sanford, Florida, to Flint, Michigan, had to divert due to a sensor malfunction.
The plane landed safely.
All 150 passengers and 6 crew members remained unhurt.
United Flight 2005 had to return and make an emergency landing at Sacramento International Airport, California, on November 25.
The Airbus A320 plane took off for Denver, Colorado, but had to return shortly afterwards after a geese hit its right engine, causing a significant damage.
The plane landed safely. All 114 passengers remained uninjured.
The aircraft was taken out of service while the passengers had to re-book the flights.
