    United Airlines Flight Suffers Bird Strike Near Spokane International Airport

    United Airlines flight UA-255 suffered a bird strike in Spokane, Washington, on December 9th.

    The incident happened when the Boeing 737-900 plane flying from Denver, Colorado, was on approach to Spokane International Airport.

    The plane continued for a safe landing.

    The plane sustained damage to the tail and wings.

    ASL Airlines Belgium Plane Returns to Belgium After Bird Strikes

    ASL Airlines Belgium freight flight 3V-811 had to return and make an emergency landing in Liege, Belgium, on November 24th.

    The Boeing 747-400 freighter plane took off for Jinan, China, but had to turn back after the engines ingested several birds.

    The plane landed back safely. Everyone aboard remained unharmed.

    Turkish Airlines Bird Strike

    A Turkish Airlines Istanbul-Athens Boeing 737-800 made an emergency landing on July 5 after a bid strike.

    After takeoff from Ataturk International Airport at 7:40, the plane hit a flock of birds.

    The pilot returned to the airport and made a safe landing with damaged engine baffles.

    Passengers disembarked and were provided an alternative flight.

    Who: 130 passengers
    Why: The Indigo flight arrived in Jammu with smoke coming out of an engine. The flight was given priority to make an emergency landing. There were no injuries reported. Passengers were evacuated promptly from the plane.

    The grounded plane A320 is undergoing examination. On Flight Aware, the return status is reported as scheduled/delayed, with the departure delayed from 11:10AM to 06:55PM IST
