The Boeing 737-800 plane heading from Paris Orly Airport, France, to Bejaia, Algeria, was diverted due to an issue with the landing gear.
The plane landed safely. All passengers and crew members remained unharmed.
The AirAsia Flight FD 3187 had to make an emergency landing at Thailand’s Phuket International Airport, due to bird strike, on August 5.
The flight, carrying 153 passengers and 6 crew members, was on its way from Nakorn Sri Thammarat to Bangkok when a bird smashed into one of the engine intakes and damaged the engine of the Airbus A320-200.
The plane landed safely at about 5:15 p.m.
The airline provided an alternate aircraft to take the passengers to their destination.
Porter Airlines Flight PD539 made an emergency landing at Toronto Pearson International Airport in Ontario, Canada, on the night of December 28.
The Bombardier Dash 8-400 aircraft, en-route from Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport to Sudbury, was diverted after its cabin filled with smoke.
The plane landed safely and the passengers were transported to the terminal.

Why: During takeoff, the flight struck a bird; it took about twenty minutes to land back at the airport where the plane was assessed to be undamaged; however, when it took off after a two hour inspection, the anti-ice system turned out to be damaged, and the plane returned to Amsterdam where the passengers were provided an alternative flight.

I wonder what exactly was wrong with the icing system, and why it was missed on the ground.
A private Hawker 800 jet made an emergency landing at runway 19-R of Washington Dulles International Airport in Sterling, Virginia, shortly before 12:30 pm on July 14.
As per officials of the Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority (MWAA), the pilot declared emergency after a bird hit and damaged the aircraft.
The plane landed safely but had to be towed off to the hanger due to damage to its under carriage and loss of hydraulic fluid.
There were 2 people aboard at the time of accident; none of them was injured.
The fire crews responded at the runway as a precaution step.
