Aero Bravo 700 Agrícola Crashes in Perolândia, Goiás Brazil
On April 5, 2013, an Aero Bravo 700 Agrícola spraying insecticide near the city of Perolândia crashed near GO-050 highway. The company was Planeta Viação Agrícolas. The fatal flight was to be the last run of the day.
The plane had been spraying a cornfield when it crashed and caught on fire. Farm workers put out the fire, but not in time to save the young pilot, who suffered broken bones and severe burns.
The cropduster was demolished.
The Jataí Fire Department lieutenant Lourivaldo Ribeiro da Silva said the pilot had not been identified yet; and his body was taken to the Jataí Medical Legal Institute.
The pilot has since been recognized as 25 year old Rivelino Rocha.

This CNN news reportage indicates 91 injured rather than the 40 discussed earlier. No one mentions how the plane came mere meters from slipping into the bay. According to passengers, the plane landed normally, but failed to come to a stop but bounced through the perimeter fence, and skidded down the runway ending ten feet away the sea along the Port Royal main road. While skidding, they heard a loud bang, and oxygen masks deployed. On impact, the plane went dark.
The plane was reported to have lost an engine upon landing and that the landing gear collapsed; the plane skidded, crashed starboard engine detatched, and the fuselage broke. THe port wingtip snapped off; the fuselage rutured aft of the wing. Officers at the scene reported the plane ran off the end of the runway.
The Injured have been taken to the Kingston Public Hospital.

FORT WORTH, Texas, Dec. 22 /PRNewswire/ — On Tuesday, December 22, 2009, American Airlines Flight 331, a Boeing 737-800 aircraft, overran the runway on landing at Kingston, Jamaica’s Norman Manley International Airport. The flight originated out of Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport, operated into Miami International Airport, and then operated into Kingston’s Norman Manley International Airport.
Preliminary reports indicate there are no serious injuries. The aircraft was carrying 148 passengers and a crew of six.
American Airlines is in direct contact with officials from the National Transportation Safety Board and the Federal Aviation Administration and is cooperating fully with appropriate authorities. American Airlines will not speculate as to possible causes of the incident. At this point, no additional details can be confirmed.

At approximately 10:25 pm American Airlines (AA 331) while in its final approach to landing overshot the runway resulting in an accident. 145 passengers and 6 crew members were on board. The injured passengers have been taken to hospitals in Kingston. No fatality has been reported.
The Airport emergency response was activated with support from emergency units in the municipality. The aircraft and crash site have been secured and the areas have been cordoned off by the security forces. Preliminary investigation is ongoing. The Airport is currently closed and the respective NOTAMS issued.

As a result of the accident, three flights have been delayed.

On April 7, 2013, a Helicópteros del Pacífico (Helipac) Mil Mi-8PS with 13 aboard crashed near Perenco Oil in Peru.
There were four crew and nine passengers aboard—all Peruvian— when the flight crashed in the Napo River. Hernán Cervantes Paiva, Trider Pasmiño and Máximo Rolando Cuello have been identified.
The helicopter failed at 11:00 a.m.
Perenco Peru made a public announcement regarding the crash:
“Perenco Peru regrets to announce an accident involving a MI-8 (P 1916 OB) helicopter operated by HELIPAC. The helicopter came down with 13 passengers on board during a routine flight from Iquitos to Block 67. Those on the flight, all Peruvian nationals, comprised nine passengers and four crew members. The passengers included one Perenco employee and representatives of three contractors.
The Peruvian Army is at the scene and two additional helicopters are supporting the rescue efforts. At this stage, no survivors have been found.
The company is working closely with the relevant authorities and is providing what support it can to the families of those involved. “
Block 67 is a 630-square-mile (1,020-square-kilometer) block of more than 300 million barrels.
The Peruvian Air Force activated the System Search and Rescue (SistemaSAR), which mobilized National Search and Rescue Twin Otter aircraft to land in the water in Curaray with the rescue team.
What: Joseph Andrew Stack’s (owner) Piper PA-28-236 Dakota en route from Georgetown Municipal Airport Where: Northwest Austin, Echelon building When: Feb 18, 2010 Who: Joseph Andrew Stack Why: The pilot apparently set his house on fire prior to crashing his plane into the Echelon Building that houses the Internal Revenue Service in Northwest Austin. Stack left a suicide note.
IRS employees in their offices described the crash “as if a bomb went off” “black and gray smoke billowing” and “windows blown out.”
Air Kasthamandap flight 9N-AJB crash-landed in Chilkhaya, Kalikot district of Nepal, on February 26th.
The single engine PAC 750 plane took off from Nepalgunj and was heading to Jumla when it developed some technical problems and went down. Authorities said the plane lost contact with the control tower just 11 minutes after take off.
There were 11 people aboard at the time, including the pilot Dinesh Neupane, the co-pilot Santosh Rana, and nine passengers. The pilot and the co-pilot were killed in the crash while the passengers were injured.
The injured were airlifted to Nepalgunj Medical College.
The government has appointed a four-member commission to investigate the accident.

What: Broome Aviation Cessna 208B Grand Caravan en route from Broome to Koolan Island Australia Where: Beagle Bay Airport When: Jan 14 2010 Who: pilot Why: While en route, the pilot received an indication of low pressure and received permission to divert to Beagle Bay. On approach, the pilot told authorities that the engine on his Cessna Caravan cut out at 9,500 ft.. He then undershot the runway. The plane flipped and the engine separated.
The pilot is being treated for head injuries.
