British Airways Flight Makes Emergency Landing due to Engine Problems
British Airways flight BAW-82GD had to return and make an emergency landing at Heathrow Airport, England, on September 6th.
The Boeing 777-200 plane took off for Athens, Greece, but had to return shortly afterwards due to problems with one of the engines.
The plane landed back safely. Everyone aboard remained safe.
Cathay Dragon Flight Makes Emergency Landing in China

The Airbus A330-300 plane heading from Hangzhou to Hong Kong, China, was diverted after the crew received an engine fire indication.

Lufthansa Flight Makes Emergency Landing in Munich
Lufthansa flight LH-1683 made an emergency landing in Munich, Germany, on October 27th.
The Airbus A321-100 plane flying from Budapest, Hungary, was descending toward Munich when the crew declared an emergency due to an electrical odor on-board.
The plane continued for a safe landing. All passengers and crew members remained unharmed.
Passenger Plane Crashed in London…. No Wait, It was only an Emergency Drill
As part of a pre-planned training exercise, more than 220 personnel from the Scotland Yard, London Ambulance Service, London Fire Brigade, Specialist Urban Search and rescue teams were called on April 26, to tackle a passenger jet plane crash in East London.
An abandoned mill in London’s Dockland was prepared as the crash site. 400 tonnes of rubble was used to cover the fuselage from Boeing 737. Real smoke and flames were used and the black box simulators were sunk in water for the dive teams to recover.
The emergency crews were not informed about the exercise beforehand, although, the local residents were made aware.
According to the LAS director of operations, Jason Killens, “Although this type of incident is extremely rare, it is important that we work together and plan now so we can continue to be well prepared for every possibility,”
The 3-day training drill, hosted by the London Fire Brigade, is believed to be the biggest of its kind in Britain.
Ron Dobson, the London Fire Commissioner said “It is only through this kind of exercise that we can fully test our plans and ensure that all the agencies which would be involved can respond effectively together, in a co-ordinated manner.’
Mesa Airlines Plane Rejects Takeoff in Texas
Mesa Airlines flight YV-5631/ AA-5631 had to abort takeoff at Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport, Dallas, Texas, on April 20th.
The Canadair CRJ-900 was about to takeoff for Columbia, South Carolina, when the crew had to abort taking off due to a flight control issue.
The plane remained on the taxiway, and resumed flight after 40 minutes.
EasyJet Flight Makes Emergency Landing in Prague
EasyJet flight U2-2581 made an emergency landing in Prague, Czech Republic, on July 23rd.
The Airbus A319-100 plane flying from Palma, Spain, was on final approach when the crew reported a landing gear issue and declared an emergency.
The crew subsequently performed an alternate landing gear extension and landed safely. All passengers and crew members remained unharmed.
