    PIA Jet Returns to Karachi Due to Engine Failure

    The ATR-42-500 aircraft, heading to Turbat, Balochistan, was forced to return after one of its engines failed.

    CityJet Flight Returns to Dublin due to Low Oil Pressure Indication

    CityJetCityJet flight WX-112 had to return and make an emergency landing in Dublin, Ireland, on May 20th.

    The plane took off for London, England, but had to return shortly afterwards after the crew needed to shut down one of the engines due to a low oil pressure indication.

    The plane landed safely. Everyone aboard remained unharmed.

    The airline arranged a replacement plane for the passengers.

    China Southern Airlines Flight Makes Emergency Landing in Malaysia

    China Southern Airlines flight CZ-369 made an emergency landing in Penang, Malaysia, on December 23rd.

    The Airbus A321-200 plane took off for Guangzhou, China, but had to turn back after a power bank stored in an overhead bin started emitting smoke.

    The plane landed back safely. Everyone aboard remained unharmed.

    Yakutia Airlines Flight Makes Emergency Landing in Yakutsk

    Yakutia Airlines flight R3-438 made an emergency landing in Yakutsk, Russia, on March 28th.

    The plane was flying from Lensk, Russia, when the crew needed to shut down one of the engines.

    The plane continued for a safe landing. All thirty-eight passengers and four crew members remained unharmed.

    Who: 2 occupants, 2 fatalities
    Why: Two two-seat reconnaissance “Scout”choppers crashed during routine exercises at Joint Base Lewis-McChord, a few miles from Ranier Washington. Four individuals died in the event. Two were injured. It has not been released if the two injured were aboard, or if the choppers collided.

    The remains were taken to Madigan Army Medical Center.

    The debris field covered 300 meters. Military vehicles were securing the scene.

    The Fort Rucker, Alabama Combat Readiness Center is coordinating the investigation, beginning with a six member team.
