    Delta Airlines Flight Makes Emergency Landing in Los Angeles

    Delta Airlines flight DL-2594 had to return and make an emergency landing in Los Angeles, California, on January 18th.

    The Boeing 757-200 plane took off for Detroit, Michigan, but had to turn back due to a hydraulic issue.

    The plane landed back safely. All one hundred and twenty-five passengers and six crew members remained unharmed.

    Blue Air Flight Makes Emergency Landing in Romania

    Blue Air flight 0B-2931 had to return and make an emergency landing in Bacau, Romania, on August 10th.

    The Boeing 737-400 plane took off for Luton Airport, England, but had to return shortly afterwards due to cabin pressurization problems.

    The plane landed back safely. Everyone aboard remained unharmed.

    Who: 178 passengers
    Why: When the pilot reported smoke in the cockpit, the plane was granted permission to land at Bangor International, which it did, safely.

    I worry about all emergency landings, I’ve experienced just one.

    When I see a United doing an emergency landing for any reason, my skin creeps because I fly United all the time. No pun intended.

    Air Canada Airbus Hydraulics Issue in Calgary

    What: Air Canada Airbus A320 en route from Calgary to Toronto
    Where: Calgary
    When: October 14, 2010
    Who: 158 passengers
    Why: While en route, instruments indicated that the plane developed problems with its hydraulics. The pilot returned to Calgary where they made a safe landing. Firefighting crews and 13 ambulances were on standby. The plane was towed off the runway to maintenance for observation and assessment.

    Aeroflot Flight Makes Emergency Landing in Russia

    Aeroflot flight SU-5436 had to return and make an emergency landing in Vladivostok, Russia, on February 22nd.

    The plane took off for Seoul, South Korea, but had to turn back after the crew received an engine oil indication.

    The plane landed safely. All passengers and crew members remained unharmed.

    Southwest Airlines Plane Makes Emergency Landing in Wichita

    The Boeing 737-300 was en-route from Dallas, Texas, to Kansas City, Missouri, when the crew reported loss of cabin pressure and requested an emergency landing.

    The plane landed safely. All 143 passengers and 5 crew members remained unhurt.
