    China Airlines Flight Makes Emergency Landing in Wake Island

    China Airlines flight CI-17 had to divert and make an emergency landing in Wake Island, United States, on December 12th.

    The Airbus A330-300 plane heading from Honolulu, Hawaii, to Tokyo, Japan, was diverted due to issues with one of the engines.

    The Airbus A330-300 plane took off for Zhuhai, China, but had to turn back due to an engine issue.

    Sun Country Airlines Flight Makes Emergency Landing at Boise Airport

    Sun Country Airlines Flight 123 had to make an emergency landing at the Boise Airport, Idaho, at around 4 p.m. on September 25.

    According to the airport authorities, the decision for emergency landing was made after a warning light indicated an engine fire. The charter flight was en-route from Lewiston, Idaho, to Laughlin, Nevada, at the time.

    The Boeing 737 landed uneventfully and no one was injured.

    The investigation confirmed that there was no evidence of engine fire. The aircraft’s warning light indicator is being repaired.

    What: Turkish Airlines Airbus A320-232 en route from Ataturk airport Istanbul, Turkey to Cairo airport Cairo, Egypt
    Where: Turkey
    When: Nov 4, 2009
    Who: 103 passengers, 7 crew
    Why: On takeoff, the left engine cover fell on to the runway. Another pilot saw the debris, and reported it. ATC recalled the Airbus, and it made a no-fuss emergency landing, after which it was taken to the maintenance hanger for repairs. Another plane was sent to provide transportation for the passengers.

    Azurair Plane makes Diverts to Uzbekistan due to Low Oil Indication

    Azurair flight ZF-9401 had to divert and make an emergency landing at Tashkent International Airport, Tashkent, Uzbekistan, on February 26.

    The Boeing 767-300, heading from Moscow, Russia, to Phuket, Thailand, was mid-air above Tashkent when the crew had to shut down one of its engine due to low oil indication.

    The plane landed safely.

    All 327 people on board remained safe.

    Air Canada flight 8667 had to return for an emergency landing in San Diego, California, on September 28th.

    The plane took off for Vancouver, Canada, but had to turn back after a warning light came on in the cockpit.
