The Airbus A320-200 plane took off for Islamabad, Pakistan, but had to return shortly afterwards due to an instrument problem.
The plane landed uneventfully. All passengers and crew members remained unharmed.
A Saudi Arabian Airlines flight made an emergency landing in Bisha, Saudi Arabia, on February 2nd.
The plane heading from from Riyadh to Jazan, Saudi Arabia, was diverted after a passenger suffered a medical emergency.
The plane landed safely.

Why: While en route, the crew received a fuel pump warning. The flight diverted to Moscow where the plane landed safely. Passengers were provided an alternative plane.
Qantas Airways plane had to return and make an emergency landing at Sydney Airport, Sydney, New South Wales, Australia, on April 5th.
The Airbus A380, en-route to Dubai, UAE, was mid-air when the crew detected engine vibration issues, prompting it to return eight hours after taking off from Melbourne.
The plane landed uneventfully.

A Kuwait Airways Airbus 300, en route to London from Kuwait, made an emergency landing at Brussels airport, Belgium, on July 28.
The pilot decided to make an emergency landing after discovering smoke in the cockpit, according to airport spokeswoman Florence Muls.
The plane landed safely and all 200 passengers aboard remained unhurt.
The aircraft was taken for examination.

Why: While en route, the flight developed a loss of cabin pressure.
Oxygen masks were deployed.
Pilots diverted to Changsa where they made a safe landing.
A FedEx cargo plane made an emergency landing at George Bush Intercontinental Airport in Houston, Texas, on the morning of July 1.
The Fedex Federal Express McDonnell Douglas MD-10 was heading from Memphis, Tennessee to Harlingen, Texas when it was diverted due to cargo smoke indication.
The plane landed uneventfully. There were 2 crew members aboard at the time; both of them remained unharmed.
Inspection team found no evidence of smoke, fire or heat. The plane resumed its journey with a few hours delay.
