Indonesia-Bound Hong Kong Airlines Flight Rejects Take Off

HONGKONG airlinesHong Kong Airlines flight HX-707 had to reject take off from Hong Kong, China, on October 30th.

The Airbus A330-300 plane was accelerating to take off for Denpasar, Indonesia, when the left engine emitted a loud bang, forcing the crew to reject take off.

The plane safely returned to the apron. Everyone aboard remained safe.

The airline arranged a replacement plane for the passengers.

17 Injured as Hong Kong Airlines Flight Runs into Severe Turbulence

HONGKONG airlinesHong Kong Airlines flight HX-6704 had to return and make an emergency landing in Denpasar, Bali, Indonesia, on May 7th.

The Airbus A330-200, heading to Hong Kong, China, had to turn back after severe turbulence injured 17 people onboard.

The plane landed uneventfully. Twelve of the injured were taken to hospital while the others were treated at the airport.

Bomb Threat Prompts Hong Kong Airlines Emergency Landing

HONGKONG airlinesHong Kong Airlines flight HX337 had to divert and make an emergency landing at Wuhan Tianhe International Airport, China, on March 10.

The Airbus A330-200, carrying 295 passengers and crew members, was en-route from Beijing to Hong Kong when the airline officials got information about possible explosive device onboard.

The pilot then diverted the plane to Wuhan Tianhe International Airport where it made an uneventful emergency landing.

Authorities said the aircraft was thoroughly searched upon landing, however, no explosive device was found.
