Lufthansa flight LH-2286 had to make an emergency landing in Brussels, Belgium, on February 7th.
The Airbus A319-100 plane was flying from Munich, Germany, when the crew reported a strong oil smell on-board which caused headache, eye irritations, and dizziness.
The plane continued for a safe landing. The entire crew was taken to hospital.
An Aeromexico plane collided with a service truck after landing in Los Angeles, California, on May 20th.
The incident happened when flight AM-642 from Mexico City, Mexico, was taxiing toward the terminal at Los Angeles airport.
The truck overturned due to impact. There were eight people aboard, including six men and two women; all of them were injured.
The Boeing 737-800 plane, carrying 149 people, sustained minor damage.
American Airlines flight AA-2428 had to divert and make an emergency landing at Charlotte Douglas International Airport, Charlotte, North Carolina, on November 10.
The McDonnell Douglas MD-83, flying from Raleigh–Durham International Airport, Morrisville, North Carolina, to Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport, Texas, had to divert due to an issue with one of its engines.
The plane landed safely.
No one was injured.
A plane carrying New York Mets’ team made an emergency landing in Detroit, Michigan, on the night of July 2.
The flight, en-route from New York to Los Angeles, was landed in emergency after Howie Rose, the radio play-by-play broadcaster, fell sick on-board.
Rose was taken to a hospital in Detroit while the flight continued to Los Angeles after delay of an hour.

The Airbus A321-100 plane heading from Malaga, Spain, to Munich, Germany, was diverted due to an indication in the cockpit.
The plane landed safely. All one hundred and eighty-eight passengers and six crew members remained unharmed.

Why: On takeoff, the left engine cover fell on to the runway. Another pilot saw the debris, and reported it. ATC recalled the Airbus, and it made a no-fuss emergency landing, after which it was taken to the maintenance hanger for repairs. Another plane was sent to provide transportation for the passengers.
JetBlue flight B6-1735 made an emergency landing in Buffalo, New York, on November 14th.
The Airbus A320-200 plane heading from Boston, Massachusetts, to Minneapolis, Minnesota, was diverted due to an engine issue.
The plane landed safely. All sixty-one people aboard remained unharmed.
