    What: Korean Airlines Airbus A300-600 en route from Jeju South Korea to Nagoya Japan
    Where: Nagoya

    Who: 164 on board
    Why: The plane lost cabin pressure 40 minutes prior to landing. The pilot took the plane to a lower altitude, and oxygen masks were dispensed. The plane landed safely, with no injuries. Investigation regarding the pressure loss is ongoing.

    Condor Flight Makes Emergency Landing in Munich

    condor airlinesCondor flight DE-1686 made an emergency landing in Munich, Germany, on August 12th.

    The Airbus A320-200 plane was en-route from Hamburg, Germany, to Heraklion, Greece, when the crew decided to divert due to a hydraulic failure.

    The plane landed safely. Everyone aboard remained unhurt.

    What: Air Canada Jazz de Havilland Dash 8-100, en route from Sudbury to Pearson,ON
    Where: Sudbury
    When: May 12th 2009 21:07 (eighteen minutes)
    Who: 21 on board
    Why: While en route, the oil pressure and ITT indicators came on for engine number two just before it made a big “bang.” The pilot shut down engine two and returned to Sudbury for a safe landing

    UPS Flight Makes Emergency Landing in Louisville

    UPS flight 5X-605 made an emergency landing in Louisville, Kentucky, on November 27th.

    The Airbus A300-600 freighter plane took off from Chicago, Illinois, but the crew failed to retract the landing gear.

    The crew continued to Louisville where they requested the longest runway. The plane subsequently landed safely. Everyone aboard remained unharmed.

    Star Air Flight Makes Emergency Landing After Engine Failure

    Star Air flight S6-6565 had to make an emergency landing in Cologne, Germany, on December 20th.

    The Boeing 767-300 cargo plane flying from East Midlands, England, United Kingdom, was descending toward Cologne when the crew declared an emergency due to an engine failure.

    The plane landed uneventfully. Everyone aboard remained safe.

    What: Iberia Airbus A340-600 en route from San Jose to Madrid
    Where: Santo Domingo
    When: Sep 14th 2009
    Who: passenger identified as Maurer David Charles experienced a medical emergency
    Why: In flight, the passenger became ill, necessitating an emergency landing, and immediate trip to the hospital where it was found by ex ray that he had swallowed bags of drugs.

    The passenger is facing criminal charges.
