    Jetstar Airways Plane Returns to Australia due to Hydraulic Problem

    JetstarJetstar Airways flight JQ-127 had to return and make an emergency landing at Adelaide International Airport, Adelaide, Australia, on December 11.

    The Airbus A320-200, en-route to Bali, Indonesia, was above central Australia when some problem with the hydraulic system caused it to return and land.

    The plane landed safely.

    All passengers aboard remained unhurt and were accommodated in other flights.

    Norwegian Air Boeing Diverted due to Vibration

    What: Norwegian Air Shuttle Boeing 737-300 en route from Oslo to Bergen
    Where: Stavanger Norway
    When: Mar 20th 2010
    Who: 140 passengers and 5 crew
    Why: While en route, the plane developed vibration and control problems, and the destination, Bergen was experiencing high wind conditions. After issuing the emergency alert, they diverted the flight to Sola Airport where weather conditions were stable, and , where they circled, then were able to safely.

    Cathay Pacific Plane Returns to Hong Kong

    Cathay PacificCathay Pacific flight CX-92 had to make an emergency landing in Hong Kong, China, on April 6th.

    The plane took off for Anchorage, Alaska, but had to return shortly afterwards due to a low oil pressure indication in one of the engines.

    The plane landed uneventfully. No injuries were reported.

    The airline arranged a replacement plane for the passengers.

    Bird-Hit American Airlines Plane Safely Lands in Orlando

    american airlinesAmerican Airlines flight AA-1786 made a safe landing following a bird strike in Orlando, Florida, on October 2nd.

    The Airbus A321-200 plane flying from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, was on final approach when a bird hit it.

    The plane continued for a safe landing. Everyone aboard remained unharmed.

    Fuji Dream Airlines flight JH-341 had to return and make an emergency landing in Nagoya, Japan, on August 6th.

    The Embraer ERJ-170 plane took off for Kochi, Japan, but had to turn back after the crew needed to shut down one of the engines.

    The plane landed safely. There were sixty-seven people aboard at the time; all of them remained unharmed.
