    Cessna Crashes Near Pleasanton Municipal Airport, TX

    CessnaA small plane crash landed on a grassy area along Farm-to-Market Road 3350, outside Pleasanton city in Atascosa County, Texas.

    According to the Department of Public Safety, the incident happened shortly before 7 p.m. on June 16 when the pilot of Cessna 414 was attempting to land at Pleasanton Municipal Airport.

    There were 6 people on board at the time of the accident; all of them sustained minor injuries.

    Authorities confirmed that the twin engine plane was on a chartered flight from Dallas’ Addison Airport to Pleasanton Municipal Airport.

    Pilot Injured After Small Plane Crashed in Burke County, NC

    A small plane crashed in Burke County, North Carolina, on February 6th.

    The plane caught fire after it went down on Jamestown Road, Morganton.

    The pilot, who was the only one aboard, suffered non-life threatening injuries.

    The cause of crash is being investigated.

    American Airline Flight 1491 Strikes a Bird

    A Tulsa-Dallas American Airlines flight stroke a bird, after which it had to return and make emergency landing at Tulsa International Airport.

    The flight 1491 took off at around 10:30 am on Friday March 14, 2014, carrying 182 passengers and 7 crew members. Shortly after departing, it hit a bird and had to land back at the Tulsa International Airport.

    All passengers and crew members were safely de-planed.

    Cargo Flight Crashes Van

    What: Allied Air Boeing 727 en route from Lagos Nigeria to Accra
    Where: Kotoka Airport, Hajj Village, Ghana
    When: June 2, 2012 7 pm
    Who: 10 fatalities, 4 survivors
    Why: Flight DHV 111 was flying from Lagos when it touched down halfway down the runway in Accra and failed to stop at the end.

    The plane overran the end of the runway, crashed through a perimeter fence, crossed Giffard Road, and slammed into a Benz van, killing 10. Four aboard the flight survived the collision.

    ATC may have advised pilots to divert to Abidjan because of the weather.

    Police, military and fire as well as the coordinator of National Disaster Management Organisation were on the scene.

    The plane was considered totaled, with wing damage, separated tail and collapsed gear. The plane reportedly was Pan Am’s last revenue flight Dec 4, 1991.

    Zenair Crash in Italy


    On Feb 17, 2013 at 16:30, a Zenair which took off from Montemelino crashed in Castelvieto, Corciano Italy. Simone Masci and his companion Monica were aboard, and died in the crash less than a minute after taking off, on fire.

    The police did not find witnesses to the crash. Currently investigators say the cause could be anything from mechanical failure to the illness of the pilot to wind shear.
