    AA Flight 242 Makes Emergency Landing at Logan

    American AirlinesThe American Airlines Flight 242 from Chicago to Dusseldorf, Germany made an emergency landing at Logan International Airport in Boston on May 25.

    According to the airline, the emergency landing was caused by a male passenger’s sudden illness. He was taken off the flight at Logan and transported to a hospital.

    The plane later resumed its journey to Dusseldorf after dropping off the sick passenger.

    An aerial fire tanker made an emergency landing at Chico Municipal Airport, California, on June 30th.

    The DC-7 Erickson Aero Tanker took off from Chico Airport but had to return shortly afterwards due to an issue with its hydraulics.

    Three wheels caught fire as the plane landed on the airport.

    All four crew members aboard remained safe.

    The Embraer ERJ-175, en-route to Los Angeles, California, had just climbed out of Austin’s runway when the crew detected some problem with the engine, prompting the plane to return.

    Delta Airlines Flight Diverts to Cold Bay due to Engine Issue

    Delta Airlines flight DL-68 had to divert and make an emergency landing in Cold Bay, Alaska, on January 14th.

    The Boeing 767-300 plane heading from Narita International Airport, Japan, to Portland, Oregon, was diverted after the crew needed to shut down one of the engines.
