    Alaska Airlines Flight Diverts to Kansas City

    Alaska Airlines flight AS-35 had to divert and make an emergency landing in Kansas City, Missouri, on May 29th.

    The Boeing 737-800 plane heading from Fort Lauderdale, Florida, to Seattle, Washington, was diverted after an electrical burning odor was noticed in a lavatory.

    The plane landed safely. The airline said three crew members were taken to hospital.

    Condor Airlines Flight Makes Emergency Landing in Dominican Republic

    condor airlinesCondor Airlines flight DE-3950 made an emergency landing in La Romana, Dominican Republic, on November 12th.

    The Boeing 767-300 plane was flying from Munich, Germany, when the crew needed to shut down one of the engines.

    The plane continued for a safe landing.

    All 254 people aboard remained unharmed.

    What: Alitalia Boeing 767-300 en route from New York JFK to Rome
    Where: New York
    When: Jan 15th 2010
    Who: 180 passengers
    Why: On take off, the Boeing apparently had a tail strike, but not one hard enough to damage the tail skid. The crew performed checks, but then decided to dump fuel and land. After circling, the flight landed safely approx. an hour and a half after initial takeoff. After two hours, the same aircraft took off again for Rome.

    Canary Island Threat

    On December 13, 2013, a Norwegian Air Shuttle Boeing 737-8JP in Las Palmas Airport, Gran Canaria had boarded. The Danish captain announced over the intercom that “we have become bombhotade and must vacate the planet directly,”

    The airline’s staff who received the message prior to departure. After the threat was placed against the plane, it was evacuated and searched, as were the passengers. The announcement came when they were already on the runway.

    Passengers were admitted into the terminal. Baggage and the plane were examined.

    No bomb was found.

    The plane was rebounded at 20:40 and went on its way from Las Palmas Airport to Stockholm without further delay.

    SpiceJet Flight Diverts to Hyderabad due to Foul Odor from Lavatory

    SpiceJet flight SG-192 had to divert and make an emergency landing in Hyderabad, India, on March 5th.

    The Boeing 737-800 plane heading from Bangalore to Delhi, India, was diverted due to a foul odor coming from a lavatory.

    The plane landed safely. All 188 passengers and 6 crew members remained unharmed.

    Aeromexico Flight Diverts to Queretaro due to Hydraulic Leak

    Aeromexico flight AM-222 had to divert and make an emergency landing in Queretaro, Mexico, on December 6th.

    The plane heading from Mexico City to Chihuahua, Mexico, was diverted due to a hydraulic leak.

    The plane landed uneventfully. All passengers and crew members remained safe.
