The Federal Aviation Authority has revealed that on May 9, two United Airlines planes were recorded in dangerously close proximity to each other at George Bush Intercontinental Airport in Houston, Texas.
The United flight 437 was en route to Mexico while the flight 601 was destined for British Columbia. The two Airbus 320 planes were found in a near-collision situation at about 9:38pm after the flight 601 was mistaken asked to take a right turn.
According to FAA’s statement, after realizing the danger, the air controller immediately told the pilot to change course.
The FAA has launched a formal investigation into the incident.

United Airlines Plane Diverts to Japan after Hitting Turbulence
United Airlines flight UA-2 made an emergency landing at Narita International Airport, Japan, on November 28th.The Boeing 787-900 plane was heading from Singapore to San Francisco, California, when it encountered turbulence twice, causing injuries to two crew members.
The crew subsequent diverted to Narita International Airport.
The plane landed safely. The injured were taken to a hospital.

United Airlines Flight Makes Emergency Landing in Newark
United Airlines flight UA-956 had to return and make an emergency landing in Newark, New Jersey, on June 12th.The Boeing 767-300 plane took off for Geneva, Switzerland, but had to return shortly afterwards due to an equipment cooling issue.
The plane landed safely. All passengers and crew members remained unharmed.
The plane was a replacement for the original aircraft assigned for the flight, which had returned earlier due to loss of cabin pressure.

Why: Before taking off, while still at the airport on ramp for departure, the plane developed immediate problems.Smoke was reported coming from the right engine. Pilots stopped, the emergency slides were deployed, and passengers, three of whom were injured on the slides, evacuated from the plane.
Emergency services were on standby. On inspection, no fire was found.
