United Airlines flight UA-102 made an emergency landing in Munich, Germany, on January 7th.
The Boeing 767-300 plane was flying from Houston, Texas, when the crew declared an emergency due to a flaps problem.
The plane landed safely. All passengers and crew members remained safe.
A Qantas flight en route to Armidale from Sydney had to divert and make an emergency landing in Tamworth, NSW, Australia, on June 17.
The incident happened after one of the plane’s tires blew off during take-off. According to Qantas, the plane carrying 44 people was diverted to Tamworth because maintenance facilities were available at the airport.
The fire brigade, ambulances and police responded. The Tamworth Base Hospital was also put on alert.
The plane made a safe landing at about 9 p.m., after burning off extra fuel. No one was injured.
The passengers were transported to Armidale by bus.
Qantas engineers replaced the damaged tire.

The helicopter was carrying a toddler with burned hands to UC Davis Medical Center when it started to smoke, prompting the crew to land.
The helicopter landed safely.
The toddler was transported to the hospital.

The Airbus A321-200 plane flying from Charlotte, North Carolina, was on final approach when the left engine ingested several birds.
