United Airlines flight UA-4444 made an emergency landing in Memphis, Tennessee, on June 13th.
The plane heading from Mobile, Alabama, to Chicago, Illinois, was diverted after the first officer became incapacitated.
The plane landed safely. The first officer was rushed to a hospital.
Cathay Dragon flight KA-168 had to return and make an emergency landing at Hong Kong International Airport, Hong Kong, China, on May 7th.
The Airbus A320-200 flying to Kolkata, India, had to return due to hydraulic failure.
The plane landed safely.
No injuries were reported.
VLM airlines flight W2-6142 had to divert and make a safe emergency landing at Dublin Airport, Dublin, Ireland, on May 20th.
The Fokker 50, heading from London, England, was on approach to Waterford’s runway when the crew reported a problem with its nose gear.
The plane landed successfully.
All 14 passengers and 4 crew members onboard remained unharmed.
UPS flight 5X-203 had to divert and make an emergency landing at Shannon Airport, Ireland, on August 4th.
The plane heading from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, to Cologne, Germany, was diverted after the crew noticed smoke on board.
The plane landed uneventfully. All passengers and crew members remained safe.
Air Canada flight 692 had to make an emergency landing at Bangor International Airport in Maine on June 15.
The Embraer 190 was en-route from Toronto to St. John’s, Newfoundland when the crew reported smoky odor in the cabin and requested an emergency landing.
The plane landed safely and everyone aboard remained unharmed.

Why: On take off, the left main wheel (rolled or fell? entire wheel or tire?) was lost. After takeoff, the plane burned off fuel and landed safely (even without the wheel), apparently without substantial damage, as the plane reportedly resumed the flight 24 hours later.
A stunt plane crashed near Stewart international airport in New Windsor, New York, on August 28.
Authorities said the Cornell W F/Sahakian JA Jr. Giles G 202 experimental plane went down while practicing for the New York Air Show, which is scheduled for this weekend.
The pilot, who was the only one aboard, was killed in the crash. He was identified as Andrew Wright, of Texas.
The FAA and the NTSB are investigating.
