TAAG Angola Airlines flight DT-453 had to return and make an emergency landing in Luanda, Angola, on November 11th.
The Boeing 737-700 plane took off for Namibe, Angola, but had to turn back due to the loss of cabin pressure.
The plane landed safely. Four passengers were injured; two of them were treated at the airport while the other two were taken to a hospital.
Venezolana Airlines flight VNE-222 had to reject takeoff from Maracaibo, Venezuela, on June 9th.
The Boeing 737-200 plane was accelerating to takeoff for Caracas, Venezuela, when both nose tires burst, forcing the crew to rejected takeoff.
Everyone aboard remained safe.
American Airlines flight 19 had to divert and make an emergency landing in Tulsa, Oklahoma, on the afternoon of January 30.
The Airbus A321 had to be diverted after the crew reported issues with bathrooms. The flight was heading from New York to Los Angeles at the time.
The plane, carrying 79 passengers and 8 crew members, landed uneventfully.
An airline spokesperson said the company refueled the aircraft and serviced the bathrooms.
The flight again departed at around 3:45 p.m.
KLM flight KL-887 encountered severe turbulence near Hong Kong, China, on June 4th.
The Boeing 747-400 plane was flying from Amsterdam, Netherlands, when it hit turbulence that injured nine people.
The plane continued for a safe landing. Eight of the injured, including six passengers and two crew members were taken to hospital.
United Airlines flight UA-24 made an emergency landing at Shannon Airport, Ireland, on June 23rd.
The Boeing 757-200 plane took off for Newark, New Jersey, but had to turn back due to electrical problems.
The crew needed to shut down one of the engines before the plane landed back safely.
All passengers and crew members remained unharmed.
Allegiant Air flight G4-101 had to return and make an emergency landing in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, on July 4th.
The Airbus A320-200 plane took off for Mesa, Arizona, but had to return shortly afterwards due to smoke in the cockpit.
The plane landed safely. All one hundred and fifty-seven people aboard remained unharmed.

What: Hungarian Malev Airlines Q400 Bombardier en route from Varna to Budapest
Where: Bulgarian coastal town of Varna
When: 5:25 am on May 12
Who: 30 passengers
Why: The plane experienced an undisclosed technical problem and turned back almost as soon as it was in the air. The plane that turned back is the same as the Colgan Air plane that crashed in Buffalo NY. This plane, however, was not flying with ice on its wings.
