Southwest Airlines flight WN-4266 made an emergency landing in Oakland, California, on April 11th.
The Boeing 737-700 plane flying from Denver, Colorado, was descending toward San Francisco, California, when the crew reported a blown tire and decided to divert.
The plane landed safely. All 119 people aboard remained safe.

A passenger who claimed the phones later was removed from the plane and taken custody by the FBI.

What: Air France Boeing 777-200 en route from Houston,TX to Paris

Who: 228 passengers and 15 crew
Why: While en route from Houston, a phone was found aboard. Pilots returned to Houston, where the flight underwent a security check.
The flight landed safely in Paris after a five hour delay.
A Skippers Aviation plane made an emergency landing in Meekatharra, Australia, on April 18th.
The plane took off for Leinster, Australia, but had to turn back after the crew needed to shut down one of the engines.
The plane landed back safely. Everyone aboard remained safe.
Australia’s TSB is investigating the incident.
A Delta Airlines Boeing 747 en route from Tel Aviv to New York with 370 passengers and 17 crew could not retract the flaps on takeoff.
The plane went into a holding pattern, dumped fuel and returned to land in Tel Aviv at 2:00 a.m. after circling for two hours.
Pilot William Bart Colantuono of Indialantic, Florida, was working for R&R Conner Aviation of Darby, Montana when his helicopter crashed while he was lifting logs in Oregon. Colantuono released the logs before crashing.
Witnesses saw a rotor separate before the helicopter flipped and crashed upside down. Colantuono, originally a navy pilot, had been flying privately for 25 years, and authored a book on “hell-logging.”
The accident occurred on Sept 17, 2013.
The official preliminary report said “16-SEP-13/N204UH BELL UH-1B ROTORCRAFT CRASHED UNDER UNKNOWN CIRCUMSTANCES DURING A LOGGING OPERATION, THE 1 PERSON ON BOARD WAS FATALLY INJURED, NEAR DETROIT, OREGON”
Hawaiian Airlines flight HA-50 had to return and make an emergency landing at Honolulu International Airport, Honolulu, Hawaii, on May 10th.
The Airbus A330-200 flying to New York, USA, had just taken-off when the crew noticed a problem with its gear retraction.
The plane landed safely.
All 291 people aboard remained unhurt.
Cathay Dragon flight KA-854 had to return and make an emergency landing in Hong Kong, China, on December 1st.
The Airbus A321-200 plane took off for Wuhan, China, but had to turn back due to issues with the navigation systems.
The plane landed back safely. All passengers and crew members remained unharmed.
