Southwest Airlines Flight Makes Emergency Landing in Orlando

Southwest Airlines made an emergency landing in Orlando, Florida, on February 21st.

The Boeing 737-800 plane heading from Fort Lauderdale, Florida, to Denver, Colorado, was diverted due to a suspected nose tire damage.

The plane landed safely. All passengers and crew members remained unharmed.

Emirates Plane Rejects Takeoff From Cairo

Emirates flight EK-928 rejected takeoff from Cairo, Egypt, on January 12th.

The Boeing 777-300 plane was accelerating to takeoff for Dubai, United Arab Emirates, when the crew spotted a vehicle on the runway and rejected takeoff at high speed.

Several tires deflated as a result.

All three hundred and sixty-four people aboard remained uninjured.

South African Airways Flight Returns to Johannesburg due to Damaged Tire

Garuda Indonesia flight GA-190 burst left hand main tires after landing at Kualanamu International Airport, Indonesia, on June 11th.

The incident happened when the Boeing 737-800 plane was coming from Jakarta, Indonesia.

The plane became disabled on the taxiway.

KLM Flight Makes Emergency Landing in Amsterdam

KLM flight KL-702 made an emergency landing in Amsterdam, Netherlands, on April 7th.

The Boeing 777-300 plane flying from Buenos Aires, Argentina, was descending toward Amsterdam when the crew received indication of low pressure in two tires.

The plane landed uneventfully and stopped on the runway for inspection.

The incident happened when the plane was coming from Sapporo, Japan.

The plane became disabled on the runway.

All thirty-five passengers and four crew members remained unharmed.

Lufthansa Flight Makes Emergency Landing in Munich

Lufthansa flight LH-1742 made an emergency landing in Munich, Germany, on March 9th.

The plane took off for Chisinau, Moldova, but damaged multiple tires during departure.

The crew subsequently returned for a safe landing.

Tara Air Plane Skids Off Runway in Nepal; At Least Four Injured

A Tara Air plane skidded off runway at Simikot Airport, Nepal, on November 28th.

The plane was accelerating to takeoff for Surkhet, Nepal, when it blew a nose tire and skidded off the runway.

There were sixteen people aboard, including thirteen passengers and three crew members. At least four of them were injured in the accident, and were taken to Humla district hospital.

The plane sustained substantial damage.

BoA Plane Bursts Tires on Landing at El Alto International Airport

A Boliviana de Aviacion Boeing 737-300 plane burst left hand main tires after landing at El Alto International Airport, Bolivia, on November 1st.

The incident happened when the plane was preforming flight OB-669 from Santa Cruz de la Sierra, Bolivia.

The plane became disabled on the runway. All one hundred and one passengers and six crew members remained unharmed.

ATA Airlines Plane Bursts Two Tires on Landing at Tabriz International Airport

ATA Airlines flight I3-6602 burst both right hand main tires upon landing at Tabriz International Airport, Iran, on October 20th.

The incident happened when the McDonnell Douglas MD-8 plane was coming from Istanbul, Turkey.

The plane became disabled on the runway.

No injuries were reported.

EAT Leipzig Flight Rejects Takeoff from Amsterdam

EAT Leipzig flight QY-2197 had to reject takeoff from Amsterdam, Netherlands, on October 10th.

The Airbus A300-600 plane was accelerating to takeoff for Leipzig, Germany, when the crew suspected they had burst a tire or had hit something, and rejected takeoff.

The plane was checked by emergency services, and subsequently returned to the apron.

Everyone aboard remained unharmed.
