A small plane made an emergency landing at Crystal River Airport, Florida, on September 15th.
Authorities said the plane experienced power loss and landing gear problems before making a belly landing at the airport.
There were four people aboard at the time, including the pilot and three passengers. All of them remained unharmed.
Delta Airlines flight DL-1201 made a safe landing following a lightning strike in Atlanta, Georgia, on January 21st.
The Airbus A321-200 plane flying from Boston, Massachusetts, was descending toward Atlanta when it experienced a lightning strike on the nose.
The plane continued for a safe landing. All passengers and crew members remained unharmed.
Kuwait Airways Flight 118 had to divert and make an emergency landing at London Heathrow Airport in United Kingdom, on June 27.
The plane, heading from New York to Kuwait, had to be diverted after a passenger fell sick on-board.
According to an airport spokesperson, “KU118 from JFK to Kuwait was diverted to Heathrow after a passenger was taken ill on-board… The passenger was looked after London Ambulance Service and the flight is resuming its journey shortly.”

Why: While en route, the flight’s generator developed problems. The plane lost electrical backup and diverted to West Palm Beach.
Kuwait Airways flight KU-204 made an emergency landing in Lahore, Pakistan, on January 11th.
The Airbus A320-200 plane took off for Kuwait International Airport, Kuwait, but had to return after the crew received an over pressure indication for the cabin.
The plane landed uneventfully. Everyone aboard remained safe.
United Airlines flight UA-6025 made an emergency landing in Greensboro, North Carolina, on January 18th.
The plane heading from Washington Dulles airport, Virginia, to Charleston International Airport, South Carolina, was diverted due to a mechanical issue.
The plane landed safely. All passengers and crew members remained safe.

Why: Averting their first approach to Milwaukee, the crew received a gear up message. They performed a flyby confirming the situation, attempted several times to get the gear down, and finally touched down with the left gear up.
The plane slid down the runway on its nose gear, right hand main gear and left wing, and although I don’t think anyone recorded the sparks as in the JFK landing with the flight attendant’s relentless “stay down” directive, the landing was no doubt just as dramatic and successful.
Passengers disembarked through the main door.
CBS news quoted a passenger who said he heard the crew attempt to put down the gear 4 or 5 times. Bombardier spokesman Marc Duchesne said, “The aircraft has logged more than 27 million flight hours and more than 22 million takeoff and landing cycles, so these are very good and reliable aircraft.” The plane is designed for short hops.
Fortunately, the crew flying these aircraft seem to be made of more heroic and substantial backbone than the landing gear.
