    Norwegian Air Shuttle flight DY-1784 had to divert and make an emergency landing at Porto Santo Airport, Portugal, on December 9th.

    The Boeing 737-800 plane heading from Oslo, Norway, to Funchal, Portugal, was diverted after the crew noticed a flaps problem.

    All Nippon Airways Flight Makes Emergency Landing due to Loss of Cabin Pressure

    All Nippon Airways flight NH-629 made an emergency landing at Kansai International Airport, Japan, on June 27th.

    The Boeing 767-300 plane heading from Tokyo to Kagoshima, Japan, was diverted due to the loss of cabin pressure.

    The plane landed safely. All one hundred and five passengers and eight crew members remained unharmed.

    Korean Air Plane’s Tyres Deflate during Roll out in South Korea

    korean airKorean Air flight KE-718’s both nose tyres deflated after landing at Jeju International Airport, Jeju City, South Korea, on July 29th.

    The Boeing 737-900 flying from Tokyo, Japan, had landed on Jeju’s runway when the incident occurred.

    All 148 passengers onboard disembarked safely.

    The aircraft is still on the ground since the occurrence.

    Aeroflot Flight Makes Emergency Landing in Russia

    Aeroflot flight SU-6462 had to return and make an emergency landing in Chelyabinsk, Russia, on December 30th.

    The Airbus A320-200 plane took off for Saint Petersburg, Russia, but had to turn back after the crew received indication of an open cabin door.

    The plane landed safely. All passengers and crew members remained unharmed.

    Small Plane Crashes Near Franklin Airport, VA

    A small plane crashed near Franklin Municipal–John Beverly Rose Airport in Virginia, on December 10th.

    The plane had just taken off from the airport when the pilot reported engine issues and decided to return.

    However, the aircraft could not make it back to the airport and went down around 100 yards off Route 258.

    There were two people aboard at the time, including the pilot Linda Mathias, 75, and passenger Paul L. Ruehrmund, 69. Both of them sustained minor injuries in the incident and were taken to Southampton Memorial Hospital.

    Engine Fault Caused Palatka Plane Crash: NTSB

    PalatkaThe National Transportation Safety Board has released the preliminary report on Palatka plane crash incident that happened on March 21.

    According to the report, the pilot was preparing to land when he saw other planes passing by. So he altered the plane’s position in order to provide sufficient space between his and other planes heading to the runway. However, when he finally attempted to go around and screwed the throttle in, the engine stopped working.

    The Cessna LC41-550FG was carrying two persons: the 73 year old pilot Richard Carrara and 71 year old Malcolm Clevenstine. Clevenstine died March 22, while the pilot has survived with serious injuries.
