    United Airlines Plane Makes Emergency Landing at Chicago O’Hare Airport

    United Airlines flight UA-1270 had to make an emergency landing at O’Hare International Airport, Chicago, Illinois, on April 14th.

    The Airbus A320-200 plane flying from Jacksonville, Florida, was on final approach to Chicago when the crew went around reporting an issue with the flaps.

    The crew worked the checklists and subsequently landed at higher than normal speed.

    All passengers and crew members remained safe.

    GoJet Airlines Plane Diverts to Richmond due to Engine Issue

    GoJetGoJet Airlines flight DL-6185 had to divert and make an emergency landing in Richmond, Virginia, on July 22nd.

    The plane heading from Raleigh–Durham International Airport, North Carolina to LaGuardia Airport, New York, was diverted due to a fault in the right hand engine.

    The plane landed uneventfully. There were 60 passengers and 4 crew members aboard at the time; all of them remained safe.

    The airline arranged a replacement plane for the passengers.

    Passengers Jump out as Loganair Plane Makes Emergency Landing in Netherlands

    LoganairA Loganair charter flight had to return and make an emergency landing at Rotterdam The Hague Airport in the Netherlands on September 30.

    The Saab 340 aircraft, carrying 17 passengers, departed for Aberdeen, Scotland, but had to turn back shortly afterwards due to a hydraulic leak. Passengers reported seeing red fluid leaking out from the aircraft’s wing.

    According to an airline spokesperson, “The aircraft landed safely at the airport around 4.35pm local time where it was brought to a halt, but subsequently rolled just off the runway due to an issue with the hydraulics.” The passengers had to jump out of the emergency exits.

    The airline arranged a replacement service for the passengers.

    Denver Emergency Landing

    Republic Flight 1557, operated as Frontier Airlines lost pressure and dropped from 24,200 to 28,600 feet over Aspen, and returned to Denver where it made an emergency landing.

    The cabin did not depressurize and the oxygen masks did not descend, but the crew descended to deal with the cabin pressure issue.

    The ERJ-190 made a safe landing with all of the 98 passengers and 4 crew uninjured.

    Passengers were provided alternative flights from Denver to San Diego.

    Korean Air Plane’s Tyres Deflate during Roll out in South Korea

    korean airKorean Air flight KE-718’s both nose tyres deflated after landing at Jeju International Airport, Jeju City, South Korea, on July 29th.

    The Boeing 737-900 flying from Tokyo, Japan, had landed on Jeju’s runway when the incident occurred.

    All 148 passengers onboard disembarked safely.

    The aircraft is still on the ground since the occurrence.

    Swiss International Airlines Flight Makes Emergency Landing in Zurich

    Swiss International Airlines flight LX-352 made an emergency landing in Zurich, Switzerland, on December 19th.

    The plane heading from Geneva, Switzerland, to Heathrow Airport, England, was diverted due to engine vibrations.

    The plane landed safely. All passengers and crew members remained unharmed.
