KLM flight KL835 made an emergency landing at Henri Coanda Airport in Bucharest, Romania, on January 3rd.
The plane, heading from Amsterdam to Singapore, was diverted after a child on-board suffered a cardiac arrest.
The plane landed safely. The child and his mother were immediately taken to hospital.
The plane continued its journey after a short delay.
Ryanair flight FR2829 had to make an emergency landing at Bordeaux Airport, France, at 8:28 p.m. on February 25.
Emergency was declared aboard the Boeing 737-800 aircraft, after 2 flight attendants were injured due to severe turbulence. Local media reported that one crew member suffered a fractured ankle while another one sustained back injury.
According to an airline spokesperson, “This flight from Reus to Brussels Charleroi diverted to Bordeaux after experiencing some air turbulence…The aircraft landed normally and medical personnel treated two cabin crew members who had minor injuries…A spare aircraft and replacement crew were sent from Barcelona to minimise the delay for customers, who were provided with refreshment vouchers in Bordeaux…Ryanair apologised sincerely to all customers affected by this diversion and delay.”

Why: While en route, a noxious electrical smell developed. Crew complained of illness and diverted to Raleigh Durham NC where they made a safe landing.
Southwest Airlines flight WN-1426 made a safe landing following bird strikes in Omaha, Nebraska, on February 27th.
The Boeing 737-700 plane flying from Chicago Midway International Airport, Illinois, was on short final to Omaha when the crew reported bird strikes.
The plane continued for a safe landing. Everyone aboard remained unharmed.

What: TAM Linhas Aereas Airbus A330-200 en route from Sao Paulo Brazil to Buenos Aires Argentina

Why: After takeoff, the plane experienced hydraulics failure. The crew decided to return to the airport. The Airbus landed safely, although it had to be towed from runway 09L.
Mistral Air flight AZ-1822 had to return and make an emergency landing at Trapani, Italy, on April 9.
The Avions de Transport Regional ATR-72-212A, en-route to Pantelleria, Italy, had to return due to an engine problem. The crew had to shut-down the engine mid-air.
The plane landed safely.
All 33 people aboard remained safe.
Rossiya Airlines flight FV-6483 made an emergency landing at Vnukovo International Airport in Moscow, Russia, on July 18th.
The Boeing 777-300 plane took off for Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk, Russia, but had to turn back due to an issue with landing gear.
The plane landed safely. Everyone aboard remained unharmed.
The airline arranged a replacement plane for the passengers.
