    Fumes Instigate Emergency Disembarkation

    What: Ryanair Boeing 737-800 en route from London Stansted to Kerry Ireland
    Where: Kerry Ireland
    When: Dec 21st 2010
    Who: 160 passengers
    Why: On landing, the plane was taxiing on the runway when those inside were subjected to fumes. The pilots stopped on the runway and instituted evacuation procedures. Passengers disembarked via slides, (two of whom were injured.)

    The fumes appear to have been from de-icing compound,

    Malaysia Airlines Flight Makes Emergency Landing in Australia

    Malaysia Airlines flight MH-122 had to divert and make an emergency landing at Alice Springs Airport, Australia, on January 18th.

    The Airbus A330-300 plane heading from Sydney, Australia, to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, was diverted after the crew needed to shut down one the engines.

    The plane landed safely. All two hundred and fifty-five people aboard remained unharmed.

    Qatar Emergency Landing

    On Feb 20, a Qatar Airways Airbus A321-231 was en route from Doha to Zagreb with 158 passengers aboard when the plane developed a technical problem.

    The pilots diverted to Tehran where they made a safe landing. Emergency services were on standby.

    They arrived at around 10 a.m. local time

    An alternative flight was provided for the passengers.

    Aerolineas Argentinas Flight Rejects Take-Off From JFK Airport

    Aerolineas Argentinas Airlines flight AR-1301 had to reject take off from John F. Kennedy International Airport, New York, on February 9th.

    The Airbus A330-200 plane was accelerating to take off for Buenos Aires, Argentina, when the crew rejected take-off due to an engine stall.

    The plane safely returned to the apron. All passengers and crew members remained unharmed.

    Air Transat Flight Diverts to Ireland Due to Smoke in Cabin

    Air TransatAir Transat flight TS-315 had to divert and make an emergency landing at Dublin Airport, Ireland, at 11:46 A.M. on July 17.

    The Airbus A330-200 had to be diverted after smoke was noticed in the cabin. The plane, carrying 313 people, was heading towards Toronto Pearson International Airport, Canada from Leonardo da Vinci–Fiumicino Airport, Italy, at the time.

    The plane landed safely and everyone aboard remained unhurt.

    According to the airline, the airbus was diverted as a precaution for a technical verification.

    Aerospatiale Loses Wheel

    What: Cimber Air Aerospatiale ATR-72-500 en route from Copenhagen to Aalborg
    Where: Kastrup Airport, Copenhagen
    When: May 18th 2010
    Who: 63 passengers and 4 crew
    Why: After takeoff, the plane lost a nose wheel when a wheel fell off after an axle broke. The plane returned to land at Kastrup. The landing was safe, and the passengers were rebooked on a subsequent flight.
