Where: Sarasota

Who: 2 flight attendants
Why: While en route, the flight encountered turbulence, injuring two flight attendants. The flight flew on to Atlanta and made a safe landing.
Qantas flight QF-1 had to return and make an emergency landing in Sydney, Australia, on August 3rd.
The Airbus A380-800 plane took off for Dubai, United Arab Emirates, but had to return shortly afterwards after the crew reported a fault in cabin’s temperature control system.

China Eastern Airlines flight MU587 made an emergency landing at Ted Stevens Anchorage International Airport in Anchorage, Alaska, on March 23rd.
The plane heading from Shanghai, China, to New York, was diverted after an elderly passenger suffered a medical emergency.
The plane dumped 30 tons of fuel before landing safely in Anchorage.
The patient was taken to a hospital.
