    Hawaiian Airlines Plane Returns to Hawaii due to Engine Problem

    Hawaiian Airlines flight HA-43 had to return and make an emergency landing at San Jose International Airport, California, on April 18th.

    The Boeing 767-300 heading to Honolulu, Hawaii, had to return due to a problem with one of its engines.

    The plane landed safely.

    All 252 passengers and 11 crew members remained safe.

    Jet2Jet2.com flight LS-189 had to return and make an emergency landing at Glasgow Airport, Glasgow, Scotland, on July 7th.

    The Boeing 737-800 was en-route to Palma Mallorca, Spain, when the crew reported pitch control problem, prompting the plane to return.

    The plane landed uneventfully. All people onboard remained unharmed.

    The passengers were accommodated in a replacement plane.

    Why: After having engine problems, a pilot quietly landed his twin-engine Piper Navajo on the beach south of the Palm Beach jetty. He said “The plane didn’t want to run anymore, so it landed.”

    The pilot was not injured but the plane suffered some damage and will have to be dismantled to be removed from the beach.

    The 1974 plane is registered to Secure Aviation, 10218 SE Banyan Way in Tequesta.

    Spirit Airlines Flight Makes Emergency Landing in Jacksonville

    Spirit Airlines flight NK-521 made an emergency landing in Jacksonville, Florida, on August 22nd.

    The Airbus A321-200 plane heading from Newark, New Jersey, to Fort Lauderdale, Florida, was diverted due to a hydraulic failure.

    The plane landed safely. All two hundred and twenty-five people aboard remained unharmed.

    Delta Airlines Flight Makes Safe Landing After Bird Strike

    Delta Airlines flight DL-1942 made a safe landing following a bird strike near Newark, New Jersey, on September 28th.

    The plane flying from Atlanta, Georgia, was on approach to Newark Liberty International Airport when a bird hit it.

    The plane continued for a safe landing. Everyone aboard remained unharmed.

    Jetstar Flight Diverts to Brisbane Due to Engine Problems

    downloadJetstar flight JQ 189 had to divert and make an emergency landing in Brisbane, Queensland, Australia, at around 10 a.m. on February 3.

    The plane was en-route from Gold Coast to Christchurch when it developed some engine problems.

    According to the airline, “The captain requested a priority landing and the aircraft landed without incident. We’re currently investigating. We will work to get customers on their way to Christchurch as soon as possible.”
