At least one tire deflated as the plane landed in Kavieng. No injuries were reported.
U.S. Navy Fighter Jet Crashes Off Key West; 2 Killed
A U.S. Navy fighter jet crashed near the Naval Air Station Key West, Florida, on March 14th.
The F/A-18F Super Hornet plane was performing a training flight when it went down.
There were two aviators aboard, including the pilot Lt. Cmdr. James Brice Johnson and the weapons systems operator Lt. Caleb Nathaniel King; both were killed in the crash.
The incident is being investigated.
American Airlines Plane makes Safe Landing in Texas after Losing Cabin Pressure
American Airlines flight AA-2594 made a safe emergency landing at Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport, Texas, on May 8th.
The Boeing 737-800 flying from Boston, Massachusetts, was mid-air when it initiated a rapid descent due to loss of cabin pressure.
The plane landed safely.
According to the FAA, 15 passengers and 1 crew member sustained injuries.
EasyJet Plane Makes Emergency Landing in Amsterdam
EasyJet flight U2-7925 made an emergency landing in Amsterdam, Netherlands, on August 7th.
The plane took off for Nice, France, but had to turn back after loss of oil pressure prompted the crew to shut down one of the engines.
The plane landed uneventfully. All passengers and crew members remained safe.
The airline arranged a replacement plane for the passengers.
