    EAT Leipzig Flight Makes Emergency Landing due to Hydraulic Problem

    EAT Leipzig flight QY-1P made an emergency landing in Leipzig, Germany, on August 14th.

    The A330-200 freighter plane flying from Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, was descending toward Leipzig when the crew noticed a hydraulic problem.

    The plane continued for a safe landing. Everyone aboard remained unharmed.

    Philippine Airlines Plane Returns to Manila due to Smoke in Cabin

    Philippine AirlinesPhilippine Airlines flight PR-422 had to return for an emergency landing in Manila, Philippines, on September 26th.

    The Airbus A340-300 plane took off for Tokyo, Japan, but had to return shortly afterwards after the crew reported smoke in the cabin.

    The plane landed safely. All 222 passengers and 13 crew members remained unharmed.

    The airline arranged a replacement plane for the passengers.

    Mahan Air Flight Returns to Delhi due to Engine Issue

    Mahan Air flight W5-70 had to return and make an emergency landing in Delhi, India, on January 31st.

    The Airbus A340-300 plane took off for Tehran, Iran, but had to turn back after the crew needed to shut down one of the engines.

    The plane landed safely. All passengers and crew members remained unharmed.

    AirAsia Zest Flight Returns to Manila due to Engine Failure

    AirAsia ZestAn AirAsia Zest flight had to return and make an emergency landing in Manila, Philippines, at 8:38 p.m. on August 9.

    The incident happened after the plane’s engine number 2 encountered “engine bleed” while cruising over Guangzhou, China. Shortly after the operational engineering bulletin procedures were done, the plane’s engine number 1 also failed.

    The pilots, Capt. Allan Roque and First Officer Dennis Surficial made a preemptive descent and contacted the air traffic controller for making an emergency landing back at Manila. The cabin pressure continued to rise and the oxygen masks deployed automatically.

    The A320 aircraft safely landed at Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA). All the passengers and crew members remained unhurt.
