Qantas Flight Makes Emergency Landing in Brisbane
Qantas flight QF-123 made an emergency landing in Brisbane, Australia, on April 15th.
The Airbus A330-200 plane took off for Auckland, New Zealand, but had to turn back due to an engine issue.
The plane landed safely. All two hundred and fifty-eight people aboard remained unharmed.
EasyJet Flight Makes Emergency Landing after Drunk Passenger Tries to Open Door Mid-Air
EasyJet flight EZY8896 had to make an emergency landing in Bordeaux, France, on March 7th.
The Airbus A320, heading from Marrakesh, Morocco, to Gatwick Airport, United Kingdom, had to be diverted after a drunk male passenger tried to open an emergency door mid-air.
The plane landed safely. The man was escorted out of the plane by the French police.
The airline confirmed the incident and said, “easyJet’s cabin crew are trained to assess and evaluate all situations and to act quickly and appropriately to ensure that the safety of the flight and other passengers is not compromised at any time. Whilst such incidents are rare we take them very seriously, do not tolerate abusive or threatening behaviour onboard and always push for prosecution. The safety and wellbeing of passengers and crew is always easyJet’s priority.”
Pegasus Airlines Flight Diverts to Zagreb due to Cargo Smoke Indication
Pegasus Airlines flight PC-1135 made an emergency landing in Zagreb, Croatia, on October 2nd.
The Boeing 737-800 plane heading from Istanbul, Turkey, to Paris Orly Airport, France, was diverted after the crew received a cargo smoke indication.
The plane landed safely. All passengers and crew members remained unharmed.
$136.3 million jet crash Oops. Look Ma, No Wheels
CHINA LAKE CA–During a war games exercise, an RAF Top gun and his copilot crash landed a new $136.3 million Typhoon fighter at China Lake air base in California. The plane skidded on its belly on the runway at 130 mph.
With no wheels.
“Everything points to the pilot forgetting to lower the wheels, which does happen from time to time,” an RAF insider said.
None of the other 48 Typhoons in service has been grounded with landing gear failure.
The pilot and his copilot were unhurt.
Recently the China Lake air base area has been struck with earth quake activity.
RAF’s Typhoons are based at RAF Coningsby; the damaged jet will be returned to the UK for possible repair or salvage.
