Germania Flight Makes Emergency Landing in Faro

Germania flight ST-4911 had to return and make an emergency landing in Faro, Portugal, on June 26th.

The Airbus A319-100 plane took off for Berlin, Germany, but had to turn back after heavy smoke was noticed in the cabin.

The plane landed safely. All ninety-four passengers and five crew members remained unharmed.

Germania Airlines Flight Makes Emergency Landing in Turkey

Germania Airlines flight ST-6334 had to divert for an emergency landing in Dalaman, Turkey, on January 10th.

The plane flying from Erfurt, Germany, was on approach to Antalya, Turkey, it was struck by lightning and began experiencing turbulence.

The crew aborted approach and diverted to Dalaman where the plane landed safely.

All passengers and crew members remained unharmed.

Germania Airlines Flight Makes Emergency Landing due to Smell of Smoke

GermaniaGermania Airlines flight ST-3108 had to return and make an emergency landing in Muenster, Germany, on October 5th.

The Boeing 737-700 plane took off for Malaga, Spain, but had to return shortly afterwards due to smell of smoke in the cockpit.

The plane landed uneventfully. There were 118 passengers and 5 crew members aboard at the time; all of them remained safe.

Passenger Dies Onboard; Germania Airlines Flight Makes Emergency Landing in Bulgaria

GermaniaA Germania Airlines flight had to make an emergency landing at Burgas Airport, Bulgaria, on February 25.

According to a statement issued by Burgas Airport, the flight, en-route from Düsseldorf, Germany, to Samsun, Turkey, made an emergency stop after an 86-year-old Turkish woman died onboard.

The plane resumed its journey shortly afterwards.

What: Germania Airbus A319-100 en route from Cochstedt to Las Palmas
Where: Las Palmas
When: Jan 14th 2012
Why: After being cleared to land on runway 21R, the pilot touched down on runway 21 L. There was no other traffic on the runway at the time.

The pilot apologized and the tower controller chided as one might expect.

The incident is under investigation.
