A charter plane crashed in Pretoria, South Africa, on July 10th.
The plane went down near an airport in Wonderboom.
One person was killed in the crash. Twenty others were injured.
The cause of crash is being investigated.

Why: Moments after the pilot told ATC he would be making an precautionary landing 15 km from their destination, ATC lost contact with the aircraft, and the helicopter crashed into trees and mountaneous terrain, bursting into flames near Teisendorf, Germany.
The pilot and three passengers on board the helicopter were fatally injured. Visual meteorological conditions prevailed at the time of the accident. The foreign, non-scheduled cross-country flight originated at Worms, Germany, and was en route to Salzburg, Austria.
At 1520, the weather conditions at Salzburg, Austria, 12 miles east-southeast of the accident was wind 200 degrees at 3 knots, few clouds at 500 feet, broken ceiling at 6000 feet, visibility 6 miles, rain, temperature 57 degrees Fahrenheit (F). The German government is investigating.
A small plane crashed in Caddo County, Oklahoma, on March 25th.
Authorities said the plane heading from Odessa, Texas to El Reno, Oklahoma, was diverted to an airport in Hinton, Oklahoma, due to bad weather conditions.
However, the plane could not make it to the airport and went down in a field south of Hydro, Oklahoma.
There were two people aboard, including the pilot Walter Mullaney, 62, and his passenger Cesar Gomez, 27; both were killed in the crash.
A twin engine plane, registered to Key Lime Air, crash landed near Roads 10 and 71 in Sherman County, Kansas, on the morning of January 21.
The plane, carrying UPS cargo, experienced engine troubles and was trying to make it to the Goodland Municipal Airport when it crash landed.
Key Lime Air confirmed the incident saying, “Key Lime Air received confirmation that one of our twin engine cargo aircraft experienced an unexpected engine anomaly in flight. The flight was operated with a single pilot and no passengers. The aircraft landed safely at an off-airport location close to Goodland, KS, without incident. There are no injuries to the pilot. Key Lime Air will be conducting a thorough examination of the aircraft in order to determine the cause of the anomaly.”

Why: The 300 meter debris field of a plane wreckage discovered near the town of Iturbide in Mexico’s Sierra Madre Oriental is believed to be that of the plane taken by Rivera’s party to Toluca. Forensic experts recovered Rivera’s California Driver License and the Mexican passport of Miguel Perez Soto, confirming the hypothesis.
Jenni Rivera, “La Diva de la Banda” is from Long Beach, California and recently divorced former Major League Baseball pitcher Esteban Loaiza.
The wreckage was found with no survivors.

Why: The pilot was attempting to make a lake landing with the single engine seaplane when he hit trees near Ideal Terrace and crashed in a field near Williams Lake. The pilot managed to avoid houses in the area, but was injured in the crash with severe injuries to his neck and cuts on his legs.
