    American Airlines Flight Returns to Raleigh–Durham International Airport

    American Airlines flight AA-2472 had to return and make an emergency landing at Raleigh–Durham International Airport, North Carolina, on June 21st.

    The plane took off for Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport, Texas, but had to turn back due to an issue with the nose gear.

    The plane landed safely. All one hundred and forty-one passengers and five crew members remained unharmed.

    AA Flight Diverted to Japan after Hitting Turbulence; 14 Injured

    American AirlinesAmerican Airlines Flight 280 was forced to make an emergency landing at Narita international airport in Japan, early on December 17.

    The plane heading from Seoul, South Korea, to Dallas, Texas, had to be diverted after it encountered severe turbulence.

    The flight, carrying 255 people, landed at around 12:55 a.m. Authorities said atleast 14 people were injured due to turbulence. Five of them were shifted to hospital while the others were treated at the scene.

    The Airline said in a statement, “American’s primary concern at this time is for our passengers and crew on board the airplane and our team in Narita is providing assistance.”

    Yakutia Airlines Flight Makes Emergency Landing in Yakutsk

    Yakutia Airlines flight R3-402 made an emergency landing in Yakutsk, Russia, on December 5th.

    The plane was flying from Chersky, Russia, when the crew decided to shut down one of the engines due to an indication of dropping oil pressure.

    The plane continued for a safe landing in Yakutsk.

    All twenty-seven passengers and three crew members remained unharmed.

    KLM Flight Makes Emergency Landing in Amsterdam

    KLM flight KL-1576 made an emergency landing in Amsterdam, Netherlands, on December 26th.

    The Boeing 737-900 plane flying from Athens, Greece, was on approach to Amsterdam when the crew reported an issue with the flaps and requested emergency assistance.

    The plane landed safely. All one hundred and seventy-eight people aboard remained unharmed.

    Royal Brunei Airlines Plane Returns to Manila after Engine Failure

    royal bruneiRoyal Brunei Airlines flight BI-684 had to return and make an emergency landing at Ninoy Aquino International Airport, Manila, Philippines, on October 21.

    The Boeing 787-800, en-route to Bandar Seri Begawan, Brunei, had to return after its left engine failed. The crew had to shut the engine down mid-air.

    The plane landed safely.

    All 152 passengers aboard remained safe.
