    Cathay Pacific Makes Emergency Landing

    What: Cathay Pacific Boeing 777-300ER en route from Hong Kong to Los Angeles
    Where: Anchorage
    When: Nov 22, 2012
    Who: 288 passengers and 18 crew
    Why: While en route, the Cathay Pacific developed a pressurization problem and had to make an emergency landing in Alaska. There were no injuries. When the pressurization problem developed, oxygen masks were deployed.

    Cathay Pacific and the Civil Aviation Department will be investigating.

    Passengers were provided hotel accommodations and an alternative flight.

    The cause of the pressurization problem is speculated to be a malfunctioning valve in the air system

    Air Wisconsin Plane Diverts to State College due to Issues with Rudder

    Air Wisconsin flight ZW-4245/ AA-4245 had to divert and make an emergency landing at the University Park Airport of State College, Pennsylvania, on May 3rd.

    The Canadair CRJ-200 flying on behalf of American Airlines was en-route from Philadelphia to Milwaukee, Wisconsin when it had to divert due to strange motions at high speed and some issue with the rudder.

    The plane landed safely.

    All 22 people aboard remained safe.

    Pinnacle Emergency Landing in Jackson

    What: Pinnacle Airlines Canadair CRJ-200 on behalf of Northwest Airlines, flight from Nashville to Memphis,TN
    Where: Diverted to Jackson’s McKellar-Sipes Airport
    When: Jun 19th 2009
    Who: 31 passengers
    Why: A sensor reported a fire in the cargo bay, but after the plane diverted to Jackson, no smoke or fire was found.

    The plane will continue to Memphis on Saturday.

    The temperature in Jackson was 93, and the heat index was 101.`

    PSA Airlines Flight Makes Emergency Landing in Dayton, Ohio

    PSA Airlines flight AA-5390 had to return for an emergency landing in Dayton, Ohio, on March 23rd.

    The Canadair CRJ-200 plane took off for Charlotte, North Carolina, but had to turn back after the crew received a smoke detector indication.

    The plane landed uneventfully. There were 52 people aboard at the time; all of them remained safe.

    ANA Flight Returns to Tokyo due to Cabin Pressurization Problem

    All Nippon Airways flight NH-37 had to return and make an emergency landing in Tokyo, Japan, on August 12th.

    The Boeing 777-200 plane took off for Itami Airport, Japan, but had to turn back due to an issue with the cabin pressurization system.

    The plane landed safely. There were two hundred and seventy-four passengers and eleven crew members aboard at the time; all of them remained unharmed.

    Olympus Airways Flight Diverts to Rome Fiumicino Airport

    Olympus Airways flight OLY-101F had to divert and make an emergency landing at Rome Fiumicino Airport, Italy, on March 22nd.

    The Airbus A321-200 plane heading from Athens, Greece, to Cologne, Germany, was diverted due to issues with the cabin pressure.

    The plane landed safely. All passengers and crew members remained unharmed.
