    Air Wisconsin Plane Diverts to State College due to Issues with Rudder

    Air Wisconsin flight ZW-4245/ AA-4245 had to divert and make an emergency landing at the University Park Airport of State College, Pennsylvania, on May 3rd.

    The Canadair CRJ-200 flying on behalf of American Airlines was en-route from Philadelphia to Milwaukee, Wisconsin when it had to divert due to strange motions at high speed and some issue with the rudder.

    The plane landed safely.

    All 22 people aboard remained safe.

    Why: On approach to Charlotte, the crew reported a left engine had developed problems.

    The pilots made a safe landing in Charlotte with emergency services standing by.

    Noxious Landing in Ottowa


    What: Air Wisconsin/US Airways flight en route from Charlotte, North Carolina to Ottawa
    Where: Ottowa
    When: Feb 13, 2011
    Who: 49 passengers and three crew
    Why: Unidentified fumes in the Air Wisconsin/US Airways flight permeating the cabin and cockpit, forced an emergency landing. Several individuals were removed from the plane requiring medical assistance.

    The source of the fumes has not been released.

    De-Icing Delays

    What: US Airways/Air Wisconsin Canadair CRJ-200 en route from Philadelphia,PA (USA) to Ottawa,ON
    Where: Philadelphia
    When: Dec 11th 2010
    Why: After takeoff, the flight developed a de-icing problem (or would this be an icing problem?)

    The flight landed safely back in Philadelphia; and then went on to arrive in Ottawa about an hour and a half late.

    Philadelphia Incident Sunday

    What: US Airways Express CRJ Jet operated by Air Wisconsin en route from Norfolk, Va to Philadelphia.
    Where: Philadelphia International Airport
    When: 5:30 pm Sunday
    Who: 3 people aboard, the captain, first officer and a flight attendant. The plane can hold 50 passengers
    Why: The pilot reported problems with the landing gear. The plane landed safely on runway 27 Left on foam though its left landing gear was not down. Sparks were seen on the runway at landing, but no injuries were reported. The plane carries 3000 lb of fuel.
