    What: Jetblue Airbus A320-200 en route from San Francisco,CA to Fort Lauderdale,FL
    Where: Salt Lake City
    When: Jan 24th 2011
    Who: 1 unruly passenger
    Why: While en route, a passenger insisted on paying cash for a headset, although Jet Blue only accepts credit cards.

    The flight diverted to Salt Lake City where the passenger was taken off the plane. It is not reported if the passenger ever got his headset, nor if he was released into police custody.

    Alitalia Flight Makes Emergency Landing in Japan

    Alitalia flight AZ-784 had to divert and make an emergency landing in Sapporo, Japan, on August 7th.

    The Boeing 777-200 plane heading from Leonardo da Vinci–Fiumicino Airport, Italy, to Narita International Airport, Japan, was diverted after the crew needed to shut down one of the engines.

    The plane landed safely. All passengers and crew members remained unharmed.

    Air China Security Diversion

    What: Air China Boeing en route from Beijing to NY
    Where: Beijing
    When: August 29, 2012
    Why: Passengers aboard an Air China Flight were flown back to Beijing and told there was a “map display error or due to turbulence.” On landing, the captain told passengers there had been a threatening message. Passengers disembarked through security and were provided an alternative flight.

    Air China posted the following message:

    Due to threatening information received about flight CA 981, to ensure the safety of passengers, this flight has returned to Beijing Capital International Airport.

    Flybe Flight Makes Emergency Landing in Edinburgh, UK

    Flybe flight BE-211 made an emergency landing in Edinburgh, United Kingdom, on January 25th.

    The plane was flying from Exeter, United Kingdom, when the crew declared an emergency due to a technical issue.

    The plane landed safely. All 62 passengers aboard remained unharmed.

    Air India Plane Diverts to Delhi due to Hydraulic Problem

    The Airbus A319-100, flying from Mumbai, India, to Jodhpur, India, had to divert due to hydraulic problem.

    The plane landed uneventfully.

    All 88 passengers and 6 crew members remained safe.

    Airbus Emergency Landing in Prague


    On May 13, 2013, an Aeroflot Airbus A320-214 en route from Sheremetyevo Int’l Moscow to Vaclav Havel Airport Prague made an emergency landing in Prague.

    The plane landed with emergency services on standby, and was towed from the main runway. Passengers disembarked and were taken to the gate by bus.
