    Mooney Sustains Landing Gear Crunch On Rotterdam Landing


    A Mooney M20J/205 MSE was landing at Rotterdam/The Hague airport when it suffered an accident. The plane stopped off of hard pavement on soft ground with damaged landing gear. No one aboard the plane suffered any injury. A crane was employed to recover the plane.

    The official statement is that the accident was due to a technical problem. The airport was closed till 7:30 Sunday.

    Fighter Jets Escort Korean Airlines Plane to Stuttgart, Germany

    Korean Airlines flight KE-917 was intercepted by two supersonic fighter jets on July 15th.

    The Boeing 777-300 plane heading from Seoul, South Korea, to Zurich, Switzerland, was over Berlin, Germany, when it lost communication with the ATC.

    The German Air Force subsequently dispatched two fighter jets that escorted the plane to Stuttgart, Germany.

    The plane landed safely in Stuttgart. All two hundred and eleven passengers aboard remained unharmed.

    Smoke causes British Airways Diversion to Dusseldorf

    What: British Airways Airbus A320-200 en route from Budapest to London
    Where: Dusseldorf
    When: Feb 3 2010
    Why: While en route, a smoke detector went off. The crew diverted the plane to Dusseldorf and made a safe landing. Passengers evacuated safely. The flight was cancelled, and passengers were rebooked on a Lufthansa flight. The cancellation was called a precautionary measure.

    American Airlines Airbus Returns to Tampa due to Engine Issue

    American AirlinesAmerican Airlines flight AA-782 made an emergency return to Tampa International Airport, Florida, USA, on November 25.

    The Airbus A320-200 was en-route from Tampa to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, when the left hand engine was shut down due to over temperature, causing it to return.

    The plane landed safely.

    All 135 passengers aboard remained unhurt.

    Abelag Aviation Flight Suffers Runway Excursion

    On Feb 15, 2013, a Abelag Aviation Embraer EMB-500 Phenom 100 en route from Kortrijk-Wevelgem Airport to Berlin Schönefeld Airport was landing in Brandenburg and suffered a runway excursion that damaged the plane. The two crew and one passenger were uninjured. The closed runway led to twenty flights being diverted.

    The landing gear suffered some damage. The plane was built in 2010, Construction number 50000196, had two Pratt & Whitney Canada PW617F-E Turbofan engines.

    2 Slightly Injured after Helicopter Makes Emergency Landing in Brookland

    MarshA helicopter made an emergency landing in a field in Snargate Lane, Brookland, England, at around 11:10 a.m. on February 13.

    The incident happened when the helicopter was carrying 2 men. According to South East Coast Ambulance Service spokesman Rich Airey, “It was reported that the helicopter had a soft landing but then rolled onto its side…We sent two ambulances, a car and the hazardous area response team.”

    Both occupants of the Robinson R22 suffered only minor injuries. Authorities confirmed that they did not need hospital treatment.

    The accident is being investigated.
