    Air Berlin Plane Returns to Germany after Problem with Flaps

    air berlinAir Berlin flight AB-7346 had to return and make an emergency landing at Munich Airport, Munich, Germany, on December 31.

    The Airbus A330-200, flying towards Punta Cana, Dominican Republic, had to return due to some issue with its flaps.

    FedEx Flight Diverts to Wichita due to Hydraulic Failure

    FedExFedEx flight FX-3022 had to divert and make an emergency landing in Wichita, Kansas, on May 3rd.

    The freight plane, heading from Oakland, California, to Newark, New Jersey, was diverted after the crew reported a hydraulic failure.

    The plane landed safely. There were 2 crew members aboard at the time; both of them remained unhurt.

    What: Sunexpress Boeing 737-800 en route from Antalya to Dusseldorf
    Where: Dusseldorf
    When: Oct 28th 2011
    Why: Coming in to Dusseldorf, the crew discovered a flaps problem on the 737.

    They aborted the initial approach and circled while they attempted correction.

    They made a fast landing on the second attempt.

    The outgoing flight was detained a couple of hours as repairs were performed on the flight.

    Delta Airlines Flight Diverts to Shannon Airport

    250px-Delta_logo.svgDelta Airlines flight DL-73 had to divert and make an emergency landing at Shannon Airport in Ireland, at around 2:48 p.m. on July 3.

    The Boeing 747-400, en-route from Amsterdam, Netherlands, to Atlanta, Georgia, declared emergency after an alarm sounded in the cockpit, warning about a possible fire in the cargo hold.

    The plane landed uneventfully. All 392 passengers remained safe.

    Inspection team found no evidence of fire in the cargo hold. The cause of alarm is under investigation.

    Ural Airlines Flight Rejects Takeoff due to Engine Issue

    Ural Airlines flight U6-223 had to reject takeoff from Koltsovo Airport in Yekaterinburg, Russia, on December 13th.

    The Airbus A320-200 plane was accelerating to takeoff for St. Petersburg, Russia, when the crew rejected takeoff due to indication of an engine problem.

    The plane safely returned to the apron. Everyone aboard remained safe.

    Eastern Airways Plane Diverts to Manchester

    Eastern AirwaysEastern Airways flight T3-9625 made an emergency landing in Manchester, England, on July 24th.

    The plane heading from Newcastle, England, to Geneva, Switzerland, was diverted due to indication of an engine malfunction.

    The plane landed safely. Everyone aboard remained unharmed.

    A replacement plane was arranged for the passengers.
