A Batik Air flight had to make an emergency landing in Makassar, South Sulawesi, Indonesia, on April 17.
The flight was en-route from Ambon in Maliki, to Jakarta, when it had to land in emergency due to a bomb threat.
The plane landed safely at Sultan Hasanuddin airport and all 125 passengers and 8 crew members aboard remained unharmed.
The airline confirmed that no explosive device was found in the plane.
Malaysia Airlines flight MH-724 made an emergency landing in Jambi, Indonesia, on February 25th.
The Boeing 737-800 plane heading from Jakarta, Indonesia, to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, was diverted due to a low fuel indication.
The plane landed safely. All one hundred and twenty passengers and seven crew members remained unharmed.
United Airlines flight UA-1990 had to return and make an emergency landing in Newark, New Jersey, on July 26th.
The Boeing 737-800 plane took off for Minneapolis, Minnesota, but had to turn back due to flight control problems.
The plane landed back safely. All one hundred and fifty-four passengers and six crew members remained unharmed.
On July 23, 2013, a Southwest Airlines Boeing 737-300 en route from Kansas City to Indianapolis developed a problem with the flaps.
Pilots diverted back to Kansas City and made an emergency landing. (See flight path below)
None of the 54 aboard suffered injury.
The flight eventually took off and arrived in Indianapolis at 1 a.m. with no indication if this was the same or a different jet.

Scandinavian Airlines flight SK-4437 had to divert and make an emergency landing in Trondheim, Norway, on December 20th.
The plane heading from Tromso to Oslo, Norway, was diverted after it lost cabin pressure.
The plane landed safely. All passengers and crew members remained unharmed.
A small plane made an emergency landing in a field in Macedon, Wayne County, New York, on January 21.
The Cessna plane was en-route from New Bedford, Massachusetts, to Rochester, New York, when its carburetor froze up, forcing the pilot to land in a small backyard field area.
There were two people aboard at the time, including the pilot Jeremiah Coholan and passenger Richard Medeiros; both of them remained unhurt.

What: Sriwijaya Boeing 737-400 en route Jakarta to Pontianak
Where: Kalimantan
When: June 1, 2012
Who: 163 passengers
Why: On landing on the ungrooved runway in Pontianak-Supadio Intl airport in “wet and windy conditions,” the plane skidded off the runway, incurring significant damages. Passengers evacuated directly on to the landing area.
The transportation ministry told Agence France Presse that “the nosewheel is broken and the landing gear sunk into the soft soil.”
The right wing is damaged, and the airport was closed as the situation was handled.
According to JADEC, the weather was “WIOO 010530Z 23022KT 0600 FEW009CB BKN007 29/25 Q1008 RMK CB OVER THE FIELD”
The NTSC is investigating.
