    JetBlue Flight Makes Safe Landing After Bird Strike

    JetBlue Airways flight B6-1038 made a safe landing following a bird strike near Boston, Massachusetts, on August 31st.

    The Airbus A320-200 plane flying from Austin, Texas, was on approach to Boston when a bird impacted it.

    The plane continued for a safe landing. All passengers and crew members remained unharmed.

    Pine Bluff Arkansas Takes In American Airlines Emergency Landing

    What: American Airlines twin-engine MD 80 en route from Dallas to Washington
    Where: Little Rock Arkansas
    When: May 15 2011 4:08
    Who: 136 passengers 5 crew
    Why: While en route, the pilot declared an emergency due to an engine fire, then diverted to make a safe landing in Little Rock Arkansas. Passengers were provided access to alternative flights to Washington.

    Qantas Airways Flight Returns to Sydney due to Flaps Problem

    Qantas Airways flight QF-7 had to return and make an emergency landing in Sydney, Australia, on August 4th.

    The Airbus A380-800 plane took off for Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport, Texas, but had to turn back after the crew failed to retract the flaps.

    The plane landed back safely. All passengers and crew members remained unharmed.

    Where: field near Railroad Street and Auto Center Drive near the Corona Municipal Airport
    When: Dec 17, 2009
    Who: pilot
    Why: While en route, the plane developed engine problems.

    The pilot made an emergency landing and flipped over after touchdown. He was able to extricate himself on his own, and was ported to Riverside Community Hospital with a broken nose and other injuries.

    Pegasus AirlinesPegasus Airlines flight PC-884 and UTAir flight UT-561 receive and follow TCAS resolution advisories and escaped collision at Domodedovo International Airport, Moscow Oblast, Russia, on November 2nd.

    UTairThe Boeing 737-800 (Pegasus Airlines) en-route from Turkey to Russia, was about to land maintaining FL-120 route, however, it descended to FL-110. The Boeing 737-500 (UTAir) was about to take-off from FL-110 for Grozny, Russia, at the time.

    Both aircrafts landed safely at their destinations.
