Austrian AirlinesAustrian Airlines flight OS-64 had to divert and make an emergency landing at Domodedovo International Airport in Moscow, Russia, on August 22nd.

The Boeing 767-300 plane heading from Beijing, China, to Vienna, Austria, was diverted after the crew received a waste tank indication that suggested the lavatories were unusable.

The plane landed uneventfully. Everyone aboard remained safe.

Austrian Airlines Plane Diverts to Turkey due to Burning Odor

Austrian AirlinesAustrian Airlines flight OS-832 had to divert and make an emergency landing at Istanbul Ataturk Airport, Istanbul, Turkey, on April 21st.

The Airbus A320-200, heading from Larnaca, Cyprus, to Vienna, Austria, was mid-air when the crew reported a burning odor from its air conditioning system.

The plane landed uneventfully.

All people onboard remained unharmed.

Small Plane Crashed in South Africa; Three Killed

A small plane crashed in Benoni, east of Johannesburg, South Africa, on February 2nd.

Authorities said the Piper PA-32 plane took off from Brakpan Airfield, and was heading to Limpopo Province when it crashed into shacks in Watville.

There were three people aboard at the time, including the pilot and two Austrian tourists, all of them were killed in the crash.

The cause of crash is being investigated.

Austrian Airlines Plane Diverts to Canada due to Unruly Passenger

Austrian AirlinesAn Austrian Airlines flight had to divert and make an emergency landing at St. John’s International Airport, Newfoundland, Canada, on January 10.

Authorities said the plane, en-route from Vienna to New York, was diverted due to a 35-year-old Israeli man who was showing disruptive behavior on-board.

The plane landed uneventfully. Everyone aboard remained unhurt.

The unruly passenger was removed from the plane and was shifted to Health Sciences Center to be seen by a doctor.

Authorities said he is facing several charges including uttering threats and causing disturbance in flight.
