Austrian Airlines flight LX-1175 made an emergency landing in Zurich, Switzerland, on April 25th.
The plane flying from Stuttgart, Germany, was descending toward Zurich when the crew noticed an issue with one of the engines and decided to shut it down.
The plane continued for a safe landing. All sixty passengers aboard remained unharmed.
Ryanair flight FR-4215 made an emergency landing at London Stansted Airport, England, on May 14th.
The plane was flying from Parma, Italy, when the crew reported a flaps problem and declared an emergency.
The plane landed safely. Everyone aboard remained unharmed.

Why: According to Susanne Rundström of the airport’s press office, shortly after take-off, the plane was twenty miles from the airport when it was struck by lightning. The pilots made a “mayday” call.
The flight returned to Arlanda and made a safe landing. At the airport, the plane was submitted to a routine inspection and pronounced airworthy to fly on the 18th.
WestJet Encore flight 3105 made an emergency landing in Prince George, British Columbia, Canada, on November 22nd.
The plane heading from Vancouver to Terrace, Canada, was diverted after the crew reported an issue with the front landing gear.
The plane landed uneventfully. All 40 passengers and 4 crew members remained safe.
An Air India Express flight had to make an emergency landing in Kochi, Kerala, India, on November 23rd.
The plane took off from Karnataka, India, and was heading to Dammam, Saudi Arabia, when it was diverted. According to Air India Express Manager Nagesh Shetty, “Suspected tail-pipe fire caused the flight to be diverted to Kochi.”
The plane landed safely. All 131 passengers and 9 crew members remained unharmed.
Delta Airlines flight DL-1831 had to return and make an emergency landing at Portland International Airport, Portland, Oregon, on October 30.
The Boeing 757-200, flying to Salt Lake City in Utah, had to return due to an engine problem. The right side engine of the plane had to be shut down as it was over speeding the aircraft.
The Plane landed safely.
All 169 passengers and 6 crew members aboard remained unhurt.
