Aurigny Air Services flight GR-626 had to return for an emergency landing in Guernsey, Channel Islands, on June 2nd.
The plane took off for London Stansted Airport, England, but had to turn back after a smell of smoke was noticed on board.
The plane landed back safely. All passengers and crew members remained unharmed.

A TransAsia Airways plane, performing flight GE505, had to land with only one engine at Magong Airport, Penghu County, Taiwan, on September 8.
The pilot of the ATR 72-500 aircraft, en-route from Taipei Songshan to Magong, had to shut the right engine down after he detected an oil leak.
The plane landed safely.
There were 22 passengers and 4 crew members onboard at the time; all of them remained unharmed.

Why: On approach, the crew discovered that the plane’ flaps were inoperable, making the speed of approach at the upper limit of the tires’ capacity. Emergency crews were on standby because of the potential tire issue. However (and fortunately) , the landing was (as you can see) uneventful.

What: Germanwings Airbus A319-100 en route from Vienna to Cologne

Why: On landing in Cologne, smoke in the cockpit sent pilots to the hospital. The smoke is so far unexplained.

The Boeing 737-800 plane heading from Weeze Airport, Germany, to Bari, Italy, was diverted after a bird strike caused damage to a pitot tube, resulting in the issue of disagreeing airspeed.
The plane landed safely. All passengers and crew members remained unharmed.
El Al Israel Airlines flight LY-572 had to return for an emergency landing at Henri Coanda International Airport, Romania, on August 1st.
The Boeing 737-800 plane took off for Tel Aviv, Israel, but had to turn back after the crew reported a loud noise in the cockpit.
