The Battle of Britain Memorial Flight (BBMF) plane made an emergency landing at Royal Air Force Coningsby, near Horncastle, England on May 7.
The aircraft was on a practice flight for the Victory in Europe Day (VE Day) celebrations, to be held on May 10, when it caught fire and had to be landed in emergency.
None of the crew members was injured and the fire was extinguished after landing.
Due to the incident, the aircraft would not join the celebrations, confirmed the authorities.
